Do you believe the government is hiding something?

What about if we asked if you think the government is hiding something about UFOs?

"I believe there is something else out there," said Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., at a recent press conference. "Dadgumit, whatever the truth may be, we're done with the cover-up."

Burchett leads the House’s second big hearing on UFOs in 15 months Wednesday.

Burchett certainly falls into the category of believing the government is hiding something. He says his constituents do, too.

"I’m stopped every weekend back in Knoxville," said Burchett. "People will stop me and tell me about their experiences (with UFOs). Decorated veterans. Why would they risk their reputations and careers over something that they’re lying about?"

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., is an Air Force veteran who aligns with Burchett when it comes to UFOs.

"If we continue to get stonewalled, if we smell that they’re giving us a bunch of BS, we are going to do the field hearings directly at those locations," said Luna of the military. "Full transparency really is what we need in this situation."

Toss Rep. Jared Moskowitz, D-Fla., into the camp of those who are skeptical about what the government is saying about UFOs – or UAPs as they’re sometimes called. That’s short for unidentified aerial phenomena.

I'll believe Neil Degrasse Tyson over Faux news, or for that matter, any politician, on whether the UFOs are alien or not. Tyson says that with billions of high quality cameras essentially everywhere, if aliens were here there'd be lots of high quality video, not the blurry tic-tac shaped blobs that are available. 

Ditto with gargomon furthermore if it was true someone would have leaked it with proof by now

I've listened to Tyson's spiel on UFOs, it's compelling for sure. As a kid who read "Chariots of the Gods" I've always had a curiosity about this subject. The book includes stories about stone hedges, the Nasca lines, the Egyptian Pyramids  and how or who built them. Great stuff

I'm pretty sure the chariots of the gods stuff has long been debunked. I read it when it came out too and at the time was impressed, but being slightly more knowledgeable now I see it as a book of fiction.

 

There are no aliens here. If there were, we'd all be dead or slaves. There's definitely nothing intelligent here that would interest a species capable of interstellar travel. 

There must have been some kind of advanced technology in the past. There is no way the Egyptians created some of their masterpieces like the 100 ton granite stone boxes at the Serapeum using copper chisels and pounding stones. The accuracy is within thousandths of an inch.

In Egypt They have now found a bigger stone. at the "monoliths of minya 2000 tons.. Insane. Besides that.. They have also found a bigger stone besides "The pregnant Woman" stone buried beside it. 1224 tons.

I find it hard to understand why people believe in alien visits. Yes, there are probably aliens living on other worlds but how they fly here and elsewhere without breaking the speed of light is anyone's guess.
