SAMUT PRAKAN - Sergeant Witthaya Namthong received a report of a motorcycle-car collision at Petch Hueng 38, Samut Prakan. Rescuers found 13-year-old Jak injured and 12-year-old Grai with minor injuries.

Tragically, 16-year-old Pat lay dead with severe injuries, his Honda PCX bike damaged. A black Nissan Almera car, driven by Khunanut, was parked nearby with front damage, reported Sanook.

He explained he was returning home when the motorcycles collided with his car.

He promptly rushed to assist the injured and immediately sought help. He took full responsibility for the accident and extended financial support to cover the deceased victim's funeral expenses. Police continue their investigation.

Sounds like the bike , whilst doing the U turn pulled out in front of the car. Hence the front end damage. Doesn't sound like the car drivers fault so why take responsibilty ???

Financing a funeral hardly seems a just compensation. If he was responsible, I'd take his house, and a monthly 20% of his wages for life.

3 up on a scooter... no helmets... no license... what could possibly go wrong?

Multiple motorcycles.  That's worse than 3-up.  We know how they behave in packs.

How about he took responsibility because he was at fault. as he said, after all, he was the one who was there!

Lorry hit and killed the Mrs nephew up country. No helmet, license or insurance and no light on the bike. Ah but that was 'ok' as he was using the light on his phone! probably drunk as well. Driver took responsibility for that, maybe something like making merit?

So he (the car driver) made a U-turn to go back to Grandma's house. While making a U-turn, he saw the other party's car (M/C) driving from Phra Pradaeng Pier heading to Bang Kor Bua Pier. He saw that he was still far away, so he hurried to make a U -turn until it was noisy. causing three injured people to lie on the floor

Probably the car was going at an unsafe speed given the residential nature of the road and the kids had bad judgment and rushed across the road instead of stopping to observe how fast the car was actually going.

Typical behavior you see every day. Nothing will be learned and it will be forgotten by tomorrow. Next story.

NO... focus and read the entire article... it was three up on one motorcycle that was making a u turn and the car hit them.

You are correct.  My comment was based on the translated article above:

Translating the original linked article:

Quote

....Found a white Honda PCX motorcycle. No license plates,....

....saw that the motorcycle had rammed into the left front door of his car....
