You are good at twisting events and ignoring inconvenient truths. The alleged links with Russia are nothing at all to do with what he is currently charged with, backed up with mountains of evidence. The problem, and it is a huge one, is that many - but it seems a slowly diminishing number - accept all he says as true and everything against him as lies, despite video and other evidence.

 

He is such a blatant liar in his own fantasy world, laughably so, that if his lawyers ever allow him to take the stand he will quickly be shot down in flames by people infinitely smarter than he is.

I think it is safe to assume that, unlike Caesar's wife, nobody in politics is above suspicion, the least prerequisite for the post is narcissism which Trump has well above what is required. Biden certainly has his age against him but unlike Trump there is no proof of wrong doing against him which even the big boys in the GOP admit. As for 'loonies' one only has to read the sewage that comes out of the mouths of Majorie Taylor Greene and her ilk or Trump himself to know who is unhinged. The lack of dignity, class and general knowledge in the GOP makes them a perfect fit for their voters.

As another poster has indicated, there was collusion between some members of the Trump campaign and some shady Russians.  There were internet troll farms in Russia actively spreading disinformation against Hillary Clinton.

 This could only happen in America. In most other democracies, felons or those charged with a felony are automatically disqualified from holding office. It is also very rare for a loser in politics elsewhere to get more than one chance, two is usually the maximum.
