I walked today to Lotus's in On Nut to buy some food and was quite surprised what I saw.

 

A foreigner, looking like a younger version of Arnold Schwarzenegger, looked like he just left the gym, heavily tattooed and wearing a Thai police uniform.

 

I thought, that's strange. Probably a tourist police but he was walking alone, wearing the full uniform including a weapon and nowhere was something mentioned as " tourist police".

This guy looked scary. Looked like he was recruited out of those "foreign motorbike clubs".
He was feeling very important, walking around the area.

I had to look a few times.
Found it very strange.
The full uniform.
Guy looked scary and strangely, was walking alone.
Saw a few months ago some tourist cops in Kanchanaburi but they were with thai cops.

Probably yet one more Walter Mitty.  Thailand is full of these nutters, Farang and Thai alike.

My half Thai sons look almost completely caucasian, and are Thai nationals. If they have children with a full caucasian women the Children will be Thai nationals through their Thai national half Thai father, but could look as Thai as a member of Abba.

This guy was easily 50 years old.
Probably Arnold was here 51 years ago and got involved with a Thai.

He looks like those "motorbike gang" members.

I was going to say the same thing, lukrung.  If they can join/be conscripted in the Thai military, surely they can join the Thai police force.

Unusual, I've only seen 1 farang cop before and that was walking st, shady farang like that job

Yeah. I can understand farangs wanting to help out on Walking street with translation etc, but I don't get why they want to be pretend cops.
