August 25, 20232 yr I have two Banking apps on my Samsung phone plus I have the Opera browser installed also which provides a free VPN....how can I take advantage of this with the Banking apps namely can I just drag and drop into the Opera app or would I have to do a fresh install though Opera....help needed chaps not that tech savvy?
August 25, 20232 yr I think you'll need a stand-alone Android-client VPN app. I think that free VPN is only enabled when using the Opera browser Android app. So you could use the bank's website access, while the VPN is enabled within Opera. Can you share your need to use a VPN? The app's use is limited to a specific country?

Banks have inbuilt security. Better than any normal app.
August 25, 20232 yr One of my banks will not even let me run the app with Android Developer options turned on since the last update. Nice move on their behalf.

Mildly annoying but if that's what they want what can we do? "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"
August 25, 20232 yr Banking Apps are standalone, don't use installed browsers. I use a free vpn sometimes, I'm thinking of buying one such as nordvpn only for banking purposes in case they are searching for people abroad
