Chonlanan’s Resignation As Pheu Thai Leader Seen As A Soap Opera

THE ELECTORAL CAMPAIGN PROMISE earlier made by Chonlanan Srikaew to resign as Pheu Thai leader today (Aug.30) was likened to a scene of a soap opera shown on air as though it could have somehow entertained public viewers, according to Move Forward MP/spokesman Rangsiman Rome.

Chonlanan’s resignation as Pheu Thai leader, albeit known as an entirely nominal, powerless role as far as de facto Pheu Thai boss Thaksin Shinawatra is concerned, was comparable to a soap opera series which was by no means seen by the people as a solemn commitment of such a politician, Rangsiman commented.

It was an ultimate irony for him to leave a partisan post for a ministerial one though his party had deliberately failed to keep their campaign promises earlier given to the people to never deal with the “uncles’ camps”, according to the Move Forward spokesman.

Move Forward MP/spokesman Rangsiman Rome, left, and Chonlanan Srikaew who resigned as Pheu Thai Party leader, right.

So he stepped up to be the new health minister... hardly stepping down?

So called resigned as he promised, but o get a better position is another lie of this party... Don't trust them at all anymore

The entire new placement of government is a poor soap opera and as it does not essentially correspond to the electorate's votes it is possibly not the best of soap operas.
Thailand did better in the past and that includes the endless production and broadcasting of ..... soap operas!

Hopefully MF will keep up the calling out of this bs perpetrated by the continuing military coalition.

Agree on your insertion but still better than a post coup military government. Perhaps a small but significant step for the democratic process.
