Are you smart enough to understand that Trump gave his followers an explicit message to take the Capitol, and then threw in some weasel words to cover himself? From today's (Friday) BBC News website. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-66676581 A leader of the far-right Proud Boys has been sentenced to 17 years in prison, one of the longest sentences yet handed out over the US Capitol riot. Prosecutors said US Army veteran Joe Biggs, 38, was an "instigator" of the storming of Congress on 6 January 2021. The former Infowars correspondent was convicted of seditious conspiracy and other charges in May. In court, Biggs pleaded for leniency and expressed remorse for his actions. Especially for @SunnyinBangrak. More BS from Joe Biggs. In court, a tearful Biggs apologised for his actions and said he was "seduced" by the crowd on the day of the riot. "I just moved forward. My curiosity got the better of me," he added. "I'm not a terrorist. I don't have hate in my heart." "I know that I have to be punished, and I understand," Biggs said. There is more in the link. 1 3

Trump refused to release his tax returns for many years. A person does not do that unless he has something to hide. Trump has many real estate assets, acquired via loans. There was an irrational hatefilled politician that ran for office on the fascistic and undemocratic platform of Getting Trump regardless of merit. Not one and the same surely? Anti democracy haters are naturally not very credible sources. I prefer level headed facts backed up by actual evidence. As a south Florida property owner I can state the real value is somewhere inbetween the 2 camps values. Ie both are as wrong as each other. And if you lowball it to the feds and elevate it to bankers when seeking a loan, somewhere in there it's fraud. And tell me, did you ever take out a loan on your home based on a claim that represented it to be almost 3 times it's actual size? I think we can agree that would constitute fraud. 3 1

As I understand it, the only reason Trump didn't lose everything in the 1980's is that banks had stupidly loaned him so much money they couldn't afford to let him fail. I also understand some bankers were doing a lot of cocaine in the '80's. These two things might be related. 2 1
