Officer suspect in Kamnan Nok shooting case kills self

Pol Col Wachira Yaothaisong, a superintendent at the Highway Police Division and the immediate superior to Pol Maj Sivakorn Saibua, who was shot dead in Nakhon Pathom last week , shot himself at his residence in Pathum Thani province this afternoon (Monday).

 

He is one of the 25 police officers, who were at the house of Praween Chanklai, aka “Kamnan Nok” in Nakhon Pathom province last Wednesday night and who are under investigation following the murder of Sivakorn.

I'm still curious how many bullets they found.  Every once in awhile things aren't exactly as reported...

He was the one who had invited/ordered Sivakorn to attend the dinner. Supposedly he was coming under pressure from some fellow officers and had just removed himself from the officers Line group

Given how incompetently this group of officers (and influential people) tried to cover up the original crime, it strains credulity to insinuate that this group of idiots somehow staged a suicide.

Meanwhile the two most senior police (Generals) who were also at the party, have been place on leave.

Evidence Shows Highway Police Officer Shot Himself

 

 

BANGKOK, Sept 12 (TNA) – The results of the forensic examination have been released, confirming that Pol.Col. Wachira Yaothaisong, superintendent of the Highway Police Division shot himself dead at his house in Pathum Thani, said National Police Chief Pol. Gen. Damrongsak Kittiprapas.

 

After an extensive inspection of the shooting scene by various agencies, no signs of foul play or any external involvement were found prior to the incident.

 

Consequently, investigators turned their attention to the forensic examination of the firearm found at the scene using state-of-the-art tools.
