Just wondering how 'bars' are able to avoid detection.....

the bars are not operating covertly......and they "pay their way" which is where this set-up slipped up. If a deal can be struck so that the appropriate funds are paid/deposited each month then I'm sure all parties can agree a way forward. ????

So they picked up the forerunners in Hua-hin a few weeks ago and then they monitored the site for a few weeks to see who is using it?

Smart move.

well spotted.

Just another example of the RTP engaging in nonsense. They have been wanting to get rid of the nightlife for as long as the army has been in power. Reduce the entire industry to ashes, then rebuild it, in their own pure as snow image. Without a trace of nightlife, or a hint of a sex industry. The work of fake puritans.

Of course we know this will not only mean more of a failure to revive the tourism industry, but likely a larger sex industry. Try to stop it, and oppress it, and what happens? It just grows. When you have a nation that pays 3,000 to 5,000 baht a month more for a college graduate with a 4 year degree (after a very expensive education) than an unskilled laborer, alot of women are going to choose to rent their bodies, over a 70 hour a week job, with low pay, and an unpleasant boss.

Apart from this being one of the most wide spread activity in Thailand or how does one explain the amount of curtain hotels (in my residential neighbourhood inside ca. 3km I guess 10plus) that very few farang have ever heard of, the "number" bars and "restaurants at the sides of highways and country roads, the no hands karaoke and restaurants, etc etc etc....All of these appear to be quite lucrative and frequented. God forbid, a more sophisticated escort service would pop up , shame the hep2three4 cucumber troop and not pay taxes on fun and games...............make the blxxdy <deleted> legal, cut out the middle men, welcome to the 21st century.

Shut down the websites in bkk, just go down to NA NA and others and use a local bar.But the sex trade does not exist as we all know in thailand.Don,t forget the short time hotels in thai villages that exist too for locals

Massive crime solve by the RTP...they must be so proud.....or were these people encroaching?

Such a shame they didn't put the same effort into regulaling road deaths for example, they know the causes but obviously don't care.
