A terrifying incident unfolded when a police officer from a special operations unit was brutally gunned down by a fellow officer at their operations base in Rangae district, Narathiwat, southern Thailand. The victim was on guard duty when his colleague unleashed a hail of bullets from an M16 rifle, instantly killing him.

National Police Chief Police General Damrongsak Kittiprapas promptly ordered a comprehensive investigation into the event.

Following the alert, a team of police officers, led by the local police chief, Police Colonel Apakorn Wirupak-arak, along with forensic experts, descended upon the base at Ban Lamu in Tambon Tanyong Limo. The preliminary investigation unveiled that 32 years old Police Sergeant Tacharin Kaewkong, after storming into the command building and opening fire at 32 years old Pol. Sgt. Wisit Kaewpi fled the scene, hiding the M16 rifle in a nearby rubber plantation. He later surfaced at a local tea shop.

The sudden gunfire sent the other officers present in the building scurrying for cover, reported Bangkok Post.

Blah blah blah... some ole, same ole...  We're gonna launch an investigation statement, and then this is probably the last you'll ever hear of this sorry matter again....

Truly amazing how many of these guys are basically unhinged nutters... And yet they're the ones running around armed with pistols and rifles that, seemingly very rarely, get used for legitimate purposes.

Nice to know that they only have stable officers in the squad.

Obviously some history behind this event.

If it had been me, I'd have been found in the local whore house not tea house. If you're going away for a long time I would put totty over tea

A little bit irrelevant, as that still do not condone murder.

I'm wondering what type of psychological they have to go through before being hired. People talk about how some cops in the US go haywire, which they do, but it's getting more and more prevalent here in Thailand. A soldier shot 29 in the mall in Korat, then a former cop kills 34 kids and adults last year in Na Klang.

The  stability that exists in most areas of Thailand, the current and past government over the last 10 years are a good example

The only thing the army is used for is attacking Thai citizens if they disagree with the government.

I would start to conduct mandatory drug screening on any government official.

Drugs are a plague that are globally destroying humanity

But how can things change when top level politicians, policy makers, law makers, high ranking officials, law enforcement staff  are drug addicts and this is destroying the west.
