The worst place in Thailand

I should also add Crazy House in Asoke, which is a petting zoo frequented by Chinese businessmen, but it's morbidly fascinating, like Love Island and illegal cock fighting.

I had to google that to confirm it's not for 4 legged animal petting, LOL.

Sounds like things might be getting back to the 90s with the state of dress, nudge nudge.

I don't remember any name. But some of the places on the 2nd floor in Patpong are on that list. Luckily, I was too drunk to remember much.

  • Bangkok. Filthy dirty, too hot, sidewalks impassable, terrible traffic, smelly, too many people.......I could go on. It's my least favourite place in Thailand

Open air sex resorts with thousands of prostitutes, pimps, brothels and bars sometimes employing kids will always have their supporters and apologists.

You seem exceptionally well informed for one that professes not to indulge in such. Perhaps you are one of those perennial complainers that like to live where they are constantly annoyed, rather like people that buy a house next to Heathrow and then complain about the planes.

Been there many times and never thought it particularly loathsome. Just another badly designed confusing warren of small shops and narrow alleys. If I thought about it at all it was interesting.

Of course it was built in the wrong place, far from the skytrain, but the people that build such probably never have to use them.

It should have been incorporated into the skytrain depot building across the Road from Chatachuk market.

Pointless wondering why things like that are a mess in a city where they couldn't even connect Ekamai to the expressway by an overhead road given it was so close, and made every bus travel along the congested Sukumvit road.

However, whenever I thought about such things, I remembered that they were part of the country I did want to live in, so didn't really bother me too much.

Its quite a large area , they could do with knocking the whole lot down and rebuilding it with the train underground , buses on road level and passengers upstairs .

Its an old third world Asian bus station and Thailand can do better than that

It's a fairly typical Thai public area. The old South bus terminal was worse, before they moved it miles and miles away.

Only place I can think of that would be worse than Khlong Toei slums, would be living next to or near the Thai bashing, always complaining, cry babies on  AN.

Or sitting on a barstool next to them ... oh wait ... that's why I don't go to bars.

Only thing I could imagine worse, would be the life their partners have to endure daily with their drivel, though I'd be surprised if any have partners in life.

On a slightly more serious note.... I found Khlong Toei to be fine. Obviously very cramped conditions but people seemed to look after the space around them, take pride in their homes / shops and there wasn't much litter compared to some other places in the city.
