NorwayThai Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 My Thai girlfriend is 6 months pregnant with my child. She has tan skin, brown hair black hair. I am scandanvian white blonde hair green eye, pale skin. From what I have seen of other white Thai couples with children, Thai/asian gene usually dominates euro gene due to recessive nature. Maybe child inherits European nose and has slightly lighter skin than Thai parent but stills looks like a Thai. Maybe I am wrong though, can European genes be more prevelant? 5 1 2
kwonitoy Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 My son, Canadian/Thai is a dead ringer for me with a little nicer tan, he has brown hair like I used to have. Looks more Caucasian than thai YMMV
SuperSaiyan Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 My children both look very Caucasian and in Germany, nobody thought they are Thai/German, especially my son. He looks like a German boy with a bit darker features (skin tan and hair and eyes). My daughter has more from the Thai mom but the skin is much lighter and the hair is much lighter, it's nearly dark blonde. People probably thought the mom is from Spain if they would see me walking with them alone. So, not sure where you're getting your infos from. If you have strong Viking genes, they will prevail, otherwise google Elliot Rogers. 2
Popular Post nglodnig Posted September 28, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 28, 2023 Henry Golding - half Asian, Half European - movie heart throb. Ria Lina (British comedian) again half/half absolutely GORGEOUS. The list is endless and I personally find it great as we destroying racial boundaries and hopefully moving to a true multi-racial society. You are mixing genes that have remained separate for many (tens of) thousands of years and the results are SPECTACULAR. We are not dog breeds - we're not crossing Labradors with Beagles (dog breeds were created artificially anyway). Who CARES what race they look like? If you are that worried I find that a little superficial to be honest My kids are beautiful but of course I would say that. Saying that their facial features are all mine (but plastic surgery can do wonders these days ???? ) When I walk in somewhere with my boy we are immediately tagged as father and son. Even more for my daughter, maybe one day she will forgive me ???? I won't categorise them, and neither should you. It is YOUR child. P.S. I am blond (or was until I went grey) and blue-eyed. The myth is that the blonde hair gene is dominant but doesn't work with Asians, AFAIK. They will be brown-haired (or dark) and be brown-eyed for certain (blue eyes gene is recessive). Although I may have a word with our milk-man ???? 1 1 1 2
scubascuba3 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 A Thai lady friend of mine has a half Oz son, he looks more like his dad than her
2baht Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 In my experience, and I have 2 grown kids, the first generally has more Asian features than the second. I have seen this also with my kids friends! 1

Henryford Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Most mixed race women are gorgeous, like Chompoo. They have the best features from both races. 1

Kenny202 Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I have a Thai son. His mother was very dark skinned in fact her nickname in the village was "lair", derogatory term for very dark. My son has very caucasian features and very fair skinned. Looks nothing like his mother apart from the dark brown eyes. I have never seen a "leuk kreung" kid here with say blue eyes or green so don't expect that. Some have lighter brown eyes. Funny my kids appearance is 100% European but underneath he is Thai 100% lol. All the traits (good and bad lol) Loves spicy Thai food, village food. I am guessing maybe you are a little concerned the child maybe not yours and you should be quietly concerned. It does happen here particularly if you are living in her home village where there would be plenty of old husbands, boyfriends and temptations. I have heard Thais discussing some unaware farangs kid thinking the guy was stupid for accepting a kid that clearly wasn't his. The Thais seem to know what's what in this regard. My poor Mrs got the opposite. No one believed my son came from my missus lol. Anyway, I have seen plenty of mixed race kids and some have more predominant Thai features and others Euro. I think you would know though there should be some Euro facial or body features to suggest the child is yours. If the child does look 100% Asian and you have doubts you should get a DNA test. I know it is a difficult thing to suggest to his mother etc but better to find out now than later. Maybe you only need a hair sample or something and the mother doesn't have to know. I had a child back home with a very promiscuous wife and was always a doubt for me and not nice to live with. If you are just concerned with the looks many half Thai kids are exceptionally good looking but its not a given. In any case if it is your child you will love, adore and cherish the child the moment you lay eyes on them ???? 1 1

Any Thai person would instantly recognize any of these names. To say Thai people shun mixed race kids is just pure fiction. I was single with my son when he was a baby and I am sure many of the girls I dated were more interested in my son than me lol. It would be a status symbol for them to have a mixed race kid. I even had Thai people asking me if they could "take care" of my son. Anyone here that has a mixed race kid would have experienced the same thing. Always a source of amazement to me as Thais themselves have to be some of the most good looking people in the world yet seem to have a bit of inferiority complex regarding looks. 1

If you can somehow imagine that, you would understand that a lot of it is retained into your 70's. An old body isn't weak if it's been training 50 years. This isn't bragging, as I have helped thousands as a trainer get results, and it's just what it is. People like you, that think they are tough until someone older drops them, are a dime a dozen, and are cowards behind a keyboard. You have no clue to who you are talking to here, and are an egotistical weakling that would cower under pressure, like all the rest before. I can back what I say, and I've known people like you all of my life, and they all failed. I'd suggest we all ignore his comments. With a user name like that and his horrible comments he is one of those people hiding behind a keyboard who feeds off peoples misery and is just putting bait comments out to get a reaction. Too many like that on AN in fact possibly in the majority. Many others running daily polls on what color Tie everyone is wearing today or if they wear their collar up or down. I often wonder why admin don't immediately shunt people like this. It can't be good for the overall prosperity of the forum. No wonder the forum in the last few years has been put up for sale several times. 2 1 2

GinBoy2 Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 It's always hard to say how genetics will work out. I have two daughters with my first wife, neither of them look the same, but both stunningly beautiful My Thai son is just a handsome devil. I'm hispanic, so he was never going to be white, but he does have a somewhat asian look. Seemed to serve him rather well with the ladies when he was in college in the US! Now all married and with a child, so we'll see how the next generation of DNA plays out. To the OP, just watch Thai lakorn's, half of the actors are Luk Luengs, might give you some clues how your kid will turn out
Popular Post SingAPorn Posted September 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 30, 2023 It is time to wake up in the 21st century use a bit of intelligence if possible and accept that most educated and well balanced people non-thai or thai of the new generations, do not give a hoot anymore about anyobdys skin colour. Farang or foreigner it's the same in Thailand and many places in the west. The main concern in Thailand is do you have reasonable amount of cash to spend and are you a decent a polite individual. 1 1 1 1
Popular Post billd766 Posted September 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 30, 2023 I am English and my wife is Thai. Our 19 year old son looks completely Thai. My neighbour is Thai. The father is a white Kiwi. Their 18 year old daughter looks like her Mum would look if her Mum was a white foreigner. The most important thing for children is that they grow up fit, loving and healthy. 3
Sandboxer Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 If they're half English, they often look like the Whittakers (Search Youtube).???? Joking, I'm a falang/Asian mutt too. We tend to be pretty smokin' hot.????
Captain Monday Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Attractive handsome couples seem to have cute kids. Plus if they are both highly intelligent. It is genetics. One of my friends Thai.Belgie daughter is a pro model in the fashion mags . Bigotry hatred and hostile attitudes are learned. Usually it starts in the home unfortunately, one cannot choose ones parents. 1
Jelli Posted September 30, 2023 Posted September 30, 2023 Good luck. Wish you healthy, happy beautiful children. I've had a number of stunning luk krung students over the years. Mostly female but a few handsome lads. I tend to think that generally the better looking kids are often from European fathers Never know. 1

Not the ones who married a butt-ugly slapper Minus if she was an airhead with a bad attitude but I would take a homely girl with a good heart over a "Thai Prettie" any day. There's a lot of good gals here who did not grow up in money or with status. 2
AlexRich Posted October 1, 2023 Posted October 1, 2023 The actress Kathaleeya McIntosh is half Scottish/half Thai ... she's a very pretty lady but I'd say she looks more Thai than European. Her brother is also an actor and he looks closer to Thai also. Both are attractive people and much loved by Thais.

That wasn't the case with out child, she was virtually white and born with blue eyes (although they went brown in time). I thought it was the european gene that dominates but hard to generalise, your child will mostly look more like you than your partner.

My kid has never been shunned because of his appearance and he has a very typical mixed name: - First name (chua) very typical Thai. - Family name (namsakun) very typically western. He's has his ups and downs with his name, especially one old female dragon uni lectures. He ignores it. He's now a well respected national sporting official, has to regularly interact with global officials, and benefits from the fact he speaks Thai and English at native speaker level. He's attended many high level coaching events / seminars. Mostly conducted my off shore officials / experts, all conducted in English. Often 20 to 30 attendees Son is the only attendee who understands what the lecturer is saying (in English). 1
Captain Monday Posted October 2, 2023 Posted October 2, 2023 Scottish Japanese (American) actress Kimiko Glenn is very pretty. I don’t think she looks Japanese but if she was walking around HK or Singapore probably assume she is 100percent Asian.
