Popular Post webfact
Late on September 29, tranquillity was a distant memory for the residents of Nong Pla Lai, a serene locality in Pattaya, overrun by the thunderous roars of motorcycles. An army of teenagers, aged 14-20, swarmed the national highway No. 36, their modified bikes screaming through the silence of the night, reported Daily News. This display of untethered youthful exuberance, not unlike scenes from complex urban environments around the world, transforms the roads into an unofficial racetrack. These audacious young people, fueled by an unyielding "spirit of rebellion", and the thrill of speed, have turned the peaceful streets of Pattaya into their nocturnal playground. Picture: Daily News Local authorities, despite their efforts, grapple with this escalating menace. Each police intervention is met with temporary dispersal; the young racers scatter, only to regroup and reignite their defiant displays. Residents, left to bear the brunt of the clamor, voice their exasperation, their pleas for peace echoing through the night. Amidst the complexity of containment and the relentless spirit of the racers, an unsettling atmosphere permeates the air. Each night, as engines roar to life, Pattaya's serene aura retreats, surrendering to the overpowering clamour of rebellion and the unwavering energy of youth. The community’s quest for a lasting resolution continues, a silent plea amidst the overpowering roar of defiant exuberance. bkk6060
In the center, it seems to be more of the young punk middle east kids. Surprised there are not more accidents as they seem very inexperienced and lack proper control of their bikes.

Let 'em race then seize the bikes and run a steamroller over them. A more permanent solution than temporary dispersal. 7 1 1

edwinchester
This is what happens when there is next to zero enforcement of laws. Until everyone is led to believe that there are actually consequences for their actions it will continue. 1
Popular Post Smokey and the Bandit
Why can't the cops set up checkpoint/roadblocks on the highway and pull these morons over and possible arrest a few? They set up check point elsewhere to get pull over foreigners? 3

mikeymike100
Aren't the police supposed to do something to stop this? Should be fairly easy even for the RTP, set up a few roadblocks and seize the bikes? Or is too much like hard work, or perhaps there's no money in it, who knows? 1
Popular Post Sydebolle
Cord off the road at both ends, impound all the vehicles and release them against a fine of THB 10'000 - or destroy them on site. Done so in other countries with lasting effect - surprise, surprise ????

I'm just sticking to tried and proven methods. They've already used the blue water cannons on protestors. Nobody seemed the worse for wear. They probably still have the equipment sitting idle, primed and ready for the next protest. That'll save them money over mines and bullets. 1
