The Icelandic government will have a hell of a fun day with that "complaint" lodged where. Interesting is, that those appointed senators, of which this woman in question is an ample example, have not understood, how this planet works. 

In most other countries people speak their mind, vote their choice and are not faced with all sorts of bans, prohibitions and some other clowns cooking the election books. 

Calling Thailand a democracy has never been a bigger joke than what we all could witness over the last ten years. Well, if it fits the Thai electorate without protest and complaint - fine with me. But, if some Thais voice their opinion like that, they've understood democracy to the utter dislike of those eliterian oligarchs creaming off all the goodies as appointed rather than elected. 

If Thai voters are sick and tired of all this, then it might be an idea to revamp the present situation in such a way, that such governmental set-ups become impossible in the future. And that is exactly, what those goons do not want.

Each time, the complainers seem mystified when their entreaties are ignored or laughed at. (The US Embassy has regularly refused to accept letters complaining about the actions of George Soros and other private citizens, suggesting that the aggrieved parties might want to send their complaints directly to the person whose behavior had bothered them.)

Example I've heard a couple of times. Example from jilted GF: "I contacted Immigration, they are going to deport you today." etc.

Honestly, do these Senators not realize how silly, petty and idiotic they look when they override the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and lodge a complaint about a minor incident?

 

I'm surprised the Ultra-Nationalists aren't protesting at the Icelandic Consulate on Soi Convent.

 

All for what, some incompetent scientist who shirked her responsibilities as Senator to jet off to Iceland.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them go after this guy's family in Thailand as they have before when the subject exceeds the reach of their authority. See the journalists in exile, both Thai and foreign, for prominent examples.

If this story is true, that one or more Thai government officials, actually talked about sending a complaint to Iceland, it says it all about whats wrong with Thailand and the way they raise children to bow down to certain people with status and certain DNA. 

I'm reminded of a date I had with a gal in BKK who was very high up in the Dept of Health.  She drove a modest car but yiu could tell she expected the red carpet everywhere she went in BKK. Early in our date she took me to show me off or get approval from her brother who had a nice single story house with a decent yard all around. It deep in the heart of BKK.  It was a cool guy, a doctor i recall and had a little cheap quick set up tent in his living room as he just got it and planned to go camping soon. She was highly educated.  At dinner she was so demanding of at least 2 servers that it was embarrassing .  She was speaking loudly and had servers running and bowing to her.  First and last date.

What is not being mentioned is the allegation that was around in Thai social media before Srettha was voted in that Thaksin was involved in bargaining the price of votes for Srettha. Numbers like 20 mil were being bandied around. Perhaps these rumours helped get Ari fired up against the senators in general, as there no specific corruption allegations against Pornthip. However she retired under a cloud regarding her support for the fake bomb detectors that she ordered for her department and also endorsed the army’s much larger purchase of them under Prayut’s watch. Hard to believe that she, as a scientist, had found any professional reasons to endorse the bomb detectors which were just lumps of plastic with nothing in them. 
 

it seems odd that the 14 million voters whose votes got dissed by the senate are being so silent. If this were Kenya or somewhere like that, there would be hundreds of folk dead in the streets by now.
