Your understanding of the polling you're quoting is quite deficient.

When asked how they would vote if presidential elections were held in Gaza and the ballot featured Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas, Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, and Marwan Barghouti, an imprisoned member of the central committee of Fatah, the party led by Abbas, only 24 percent of respondents said they would vote for Haniyeh. Barghouti received the largest share of support at 32 percent and Abbas received 12 percent.

Here's a morsel you can get some milage out of:

Most Gazans attributed the lack of food to internal problems rather than to external sanctions. ... In short, Gazans were more likely to blame their material predicament on Hamas’s leadership than on Israel’s economic blockade.

This not so much milage for you:

Overall, the survey responses indicate that Gazans desire political change. About half of Gazans expressed support for democracy: 48 percent affirmed that “democracy is always preferable to any other kind of government.” Given the low opinion most Gazans hold of their government, it is unsurprising that their disapproval extends to Hamas as a political party.

By and large, Gazans do not share Hamas’s goal of eliminating the state of Israel. When presented with three possible solutions to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict (as well as an option to choose “other”), the majority of survey respondents (54 percent) favored the two-state solution outlined in the 1993 Oslo accords.

No mention of exterminating Jews in the article so can't give any figures on it - you should just go with your gut feel - it's not as if facts are important to you.

https://www.foreignaffairs.com/israel/what-palestinians-really-think-hamas#:~:text=On the eve of Hamas's,percent of the adult population.

Are you claiming hamas does not want to exterminate the all

From your link:

How much trust do you have in the Hamas-led government?

A great deal of faith:  ~12%

Quite a lot:                  ~17%

Not a lot:                    ~23%

                                   ~52%

Not at all:                   ~45%

So less than half have no faith in the Hamas-led government. How can you claim that is not significant? Clearly hamas is polling better among Palestinians than President Biden is polling among Americans.

More from your link:

Which party, if any, do you feel closest to?

Fatah                                     ~30%

Hamas                                   ~27%

Palestinian Islamic jihad        ~7%

Other,                                     ~14%

No party                                 ~15%

Don't know                              ~7%

So combined, Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad parties are the largest voting bloc in Palestine, they are both are terrorist groups, and they both want to exterminate all the Jews in Israel, after raping many of them of course.

Why do you cling to the lie that Palestinian support for hamas is insignificant. A smaller percentage of Americans are hard-core Trump supporters, and the left was terrified they were going to overthrow the country with mops and brooms on January 6th.

The Gaza Strip borders Israel and Egypt. Hezbollah are in Lebanon. How does this run thing work, then?

Also, again - IDF actually takes this way more seriously than you. Expecting strong resistance in an area favoring the defending team, and casualties involved.

All this gung ho stuff is ridiculous.

Terroists are Terroists where ever they are.

Once the IDF go further into Gaza Air Strikes will cease unless there called in from a spotter. Then we will see how Hamas fight. But I suspect they will run through the tunnels to join up with Hezbolah they won't take on the Israeli army.

The tunnels are in Gaza, nowhere near Hezbollah, who are located in southern Lebanon.

Terrible decision politically, but they will stop at nothing to get supremacy in the region. For years they have had Apartheid and persecuted non Jews.

They can't travel, no equal rights, and can't become Israeli citizens, this is morally wrong.

Even a Palestinian born in Israel, marries an Israeli, has kids, can't get a passport. Is it any wonder they dislike them.

Muslim and Christians within Israel have equal rights and many become parliamentarians, judges, diplomats, public health officials, and IDF generals. About 1.7 million Muslims live in Israel with a yearly population growth.

Is the reality as rosy as you paint it here?

Many Arab citizens feel that the state, as well as society at large, not only actively limits them to second-class citizenship, but treats them as enemies, affecting their perception of the de jure versus de facto quality of their citizenship

I agree, the few terrorist supporters here are just anti-Jew, sticks out a mile, they don't ever think about the 6,000,000 million Jews who were murdered by the Nazi Germans.

The aftermath of that was that Israel built a country with its own defences, so it never happens again.

Built up their own forces to deal with what ever is thrown at them. The Hamas thing was a hit-and-run, but they made a huge mistake, and will, and are paying for it.

Like the Nazi German exterminators of the Jews, they will be found and dealt with.....😏

It’s not going to bring the dead back though is it?

In fact, it probably just guarantees  there’ll be more unnecessary death on both sides in the days, months and years ahead.

Maybe it’s time to give peace a chance.

What would Yitzak Rabin do?
