I'd avoid putting up curtains ......not the climate for it even if you keep the aircon on 24/7.

 

We put up 13 pairs last year.....all sun bleached now.

The sun bleaches curtains rapidly, better to tint the glass with film and use vertical blinds.

We had curtains installed on our windows. For some of them, given the problem of strong sunlight pointed out by other posters, we used a double system of both a vertical blackout rolldown screen and the usual sliding vertical curtain. The company was "boutique curtain", their receipt shows this address

50 ม.4 ต.หนองป่าครั่ง อ.เมือง จ.เชียงใหม่ 50000 which is on the superhighway in the area behind the Index Living Mall. This was back in 2016 so not sure if/where they exist today. We were very satisfied at the time.

Khun Tip  061-2684875   -   has installed roller blinds and 1 motorized blind in 3 of my places .  First install in 2011 -  blinds still look as new - no sun fading issues . Excellent follow up service and maintenance - responds usually in 24 hours.  Speaks Thai only

They had thick UV proof backing & held up very well.
