A temple fair at Wat Chak Nok in the Huay Yai area of Banglamung district turned violent as two groups of hot-headed teenagers clashed, resulting in three injuries.

The brawl between two groups of rival local teens broke out just half an hour past midnight on Thursday, October 19th, at Wat Chak Nok where a temple fair and a concert were being held.

Emergency responders and Pattaya police rushed to the scene and arrested two unidentified men who allegedly engaged in the brawl. Police also seized a 50-cm-long knife from one of the suspects.

It most certainly isn't the fair that is at issue here, more the live music show which has become a feature of many of them. They are not really in the spirit of the venue, a religious area. They do often sell alcohol in those areas...

I was at one some months back as the artist was someone my Mrs wanted to see..... gangs of male youths were a feature.

Soon there will be armed gangs named after participating Wats.

Let's leave fighting over religion to other parts of the world.

As you say it's not the right place for such "festival" but the youths would just find another venue to air their differences.
