Samut Prakan, Central – Three people have been pronounced dead at the scene after a jet-ski crashed into a passenger long-tail boat in the Bang Phli district.

Emergency responders were notified of the accident on Saturday (October 28th) at the Nong Ngu Hao Canal in Soi Wat Sri Waree Noi, Srisa Chorakhe Noi sub-district.

 

They arrived at the scene to find the damaged jet-ski and the long-tail boat. Three people who were on the long-tailed boat were pronounced dead at the scene who were later identified as Ms. Warissara Sangjan, 29, Mr. Sarawut Aoumwongprem, 28, and Mr. Kritsada Worasukang, 30.

OMG, jet-skis should be banned!

Where I live on the shore of Lake Ontario in Canada, these "things" often swarm like a bunch of mosquitos. I've been a boater all my life but never owned, or had any appreciation for, a jet ski. Except for racing and wave jumping on the water, I see no pleasure or value to them. Many are just a menace.

Welcome to Thailand, you can die on the roads, in your hotel, or in the sea! Thailand should maybe start promoting itself as an 'EXIT' location

Ban these dangerous killing machines driven by airheads. Jet skis, that is.

I agree....however...the long tails don't exactly "cruise" the canals.....they also go flat out!

I bet the rider was drunk or doing drugs.
