A foreign tourist was physically assaulted by a group of dissolute teenagers for unknown reasons in Pattaya.

The male foreigner, who asked to keep his identity confidential, was assaulted while walking on Soi Yensabai in South Pattaya with his friend.

The incident took place at night on an unspecified recent evening in the Nongprue sub-district, Banglamung district, Chonburi province.

According to a CCTV recording, the victim was walking in the alley with his friend when a group of teenagers on two motorbikes drove by and struck the victim with a long stick before calmly leaving the scene.

It appeared that the attackers assaulted the victim for no reason, as the man was simply walking by them based on a recording.

A Thai business owner in the area named Ms. Joy, 36, whose real name was withheld for her safety, reported that she assisted the victim, who had suffered bruises on his arm and the side of his stomach.

The victim did not report the incident to Pattaya police because he said he did not want any problems in Thailand and was afraid of possible repercussions.

Falling victim to an unprovoked attack in Pattaya’s Nongprue sub-district, an unidentified foreign tourist was assaulted by a group of unruly teenage boys. The incident occurred in the evening on Soi Yensabai, a bustling street in South Pattaya within the Banglamung district, Chon Buri province.

The unprovoked attack on the foreign tourist was captured on a CCTV camera, showing the man strolling down the alley with a companion when two motorbikes carrying a group of teenagers approached. One of the boys struck the foreign tourist with a long stick before they continued on their way with an unnerving nonchalance. The footage suggests the assault was unprovoked, the tourist was merely walking past the group when he was attacked.

Coming to his aid was a local business owner known as Joy, a 36 year old woman who preferred to keep her real name hidden for safety reasons. She stated that the battered tourist had sustained injuries to his arm and the side of his stomach. Despite his ordeal, the tourist chose not to report the incident to Pattaya police, citing a fear of potential complications in Thailand as his reason.

Are you having an attempt at the record for the most amount of racist remarks in the fewest words possible? You've done remarkably well there. You could probably manage to add something about Brits or Aussies for good measure, though.

Relatively new member, at this rate will be spending quality reflective time on the beach.

Possibly but that would be rare. More likely that this tourist had had an encounter with one of the youths before this happened, then the youth called his friends and tracked him down for revenge.

The reason for police action against these crimes is always to protect the reputation of Pattaya. Luckily we're living in a tourist resort then because if random attacks occurred somewhere else there would be no police action.

I'll tell you what it is guys.

It's about kids who are spoiled and are arrogant lazy male youth who despise the fact that foreigners have money to spend and they have nothing because they are too bone idle and expect it giving from their parents.

They then think they are smart arsed to show off to their friends with their bravado by attacking people for no reason. On their own, they are cowards by and large.

As soon as an arrest takes place by the Police, the parents are running around to get them out of jail on bail. They don't give a damn about the act they have committed.

Poor education or zero education because they are too lazy to go to school.

And it's always somebody else's fault.

They are 'spoiled' but 'have nothing'....how does that work? I woudl day most of my students are 'spoiled' but certainly they would not go around beating random people.

Something to do with displeasing a barstool girl who got her boyfriend to  bring over his chums and bravely give the farang a thrashing ?

Always be wary with the bar ladies as it can lead to unpleasant or dramatic outcomes.

Driving by on a scooter and hitting someone with a stick (which is the preferred weapon of cowards) isn't but the opposite of bravery.

Can you say that in decipherable English, please if you are a teaching professional?

I stated clearly they are spoiled by their parents. That's how it works!

So therefore they have no respect these days whatsoever for other people's property and possessions.

They are workshy.
