The beer is made by Tawandang.  They have some places in Bangkok.  They craft their own beer.

I like the Tawang Daeng beers so I'll look out for this Carabao next time I'm in Pattaya.

Have to say I found the whole set terrible including the Carabao ones. Like they'd just added different flavours to some fizzy beer.
Very disappointing considering it was Tawan Daeng.

Has anyone seen or bought the new Carabao beer anywhere in Pattaya

A few months ago I was riding around the darkside, rode down a little soi, stopped at a Thai store for a beer.

These girls were promoting the beer, gave me some samples. 🍺and a couple of phone numbers. 😘

Delicious.

CJ stores carry it.  Both owned by Carabao.

Not much point in the Dunkel, in my opinion, when the far superior Beer Lao Dark is available for a few baht more.

Beer Lao Dark is better, but only small bottles at 65 baht, Dunkel 46 baht big can, put a vodka shot in makes it even better and 7%

I do not know about Pattaya, but Tops and Tops daily here sell both Dunkel and Lager.

I find the Dunkel a pleasant 'different' taste after 24 years of drinking tasteless Thai lagers.

(I am an ex bitter drinker from the UK.)

BigC here have withdrawn Carabao from the shelves( at the request of the two big boys???)

As a total aside - I have just spent a few days in Phnom Penh.

Lots of good craft beers everywhere in the area just south of the Independence Monument.

5 different craft beer bars less than a 10 minute walk from my hotel. :burp:

I bought a case of 12 large bottles of Dunkel  at a Big C in Trang....we have a house down there and visit monthly....it was on offer at 540 baht....it reminded me of Tetleys Dark mild which I used to drink many years ago back in my local Working Mens Club....I really enjoyed the Dunkel but on my return down there a couple of weeks back I couldn`t find it for sale anywhere....am I missing something?

In my neck of the woods, the full range of Carabao beers were available in BigC and Lotus's including the IPA. A few months ago they disappeared from the shelves, never to be seen again!

I forgot About Cj stores, a new branch (small) opened a few months ago, I'll have to check there.

ex-UK bitter drinker here too.

I don't like the craft beers that much, especially ones that have fruit flavours in them! Like Jasmine IPA in Viet Nam. They're overpriced and don't really taste that nice, nothing like real beer. However the beer halls that brew on their premises like Tawang Daeng and Hoa Vien are much better, even though they're lagers.

I haven't seen the Carabao Dunkel on the shelves anywhere for some time now.

Have they been squeezed off the market for daring to make a decent beer?

Back on the Laos Dark for now...

They are in CJ Supermarkets, many on the dark side, in the fridge and boxes usually out the back

Still available in the wholesale shops, but seems to have been dropped by Tesco and Big C
