Controversy Erupts as Thailand Claims Uyghurs Chose Deportation
Now Thailand is following it's real leader, XI in consonantly telling lies when accused of wrongdoing. -

Zelensky - what possessed you?
Well now that you have shown your love of your own little country by wishing it to be swallowed up by the Chinese Dragon (you wont be posting your disloyalty to them I am sure), I guess we have no choice but to make you a state. Nice mineral mines. Better practice the Star Spangled Banner. PS you guys arent our ally. You are our client, our servant, our flunky. You are DEPENDENT on us like the diapered baby squealing for its teat. We OWN you. MY vote for MY President means I vote for YOUR BOSS. Now carry on with your silliness until we tell you to do something. Well at your age probably not, but maybe a grandchild or two, cannon fodder is always required. Freedom of Speech applies even to ungrateful brats or whinging employees. -

Accident with compensation
A friend of mine on holiday in Phuket from Germany used the zebra crossing to cross the road (he didn't know any better), he was hit by a car travelling at low speed which knocked him over. He damaged his wrist and suffered multiple grazing and bruising. He was taken to Bangkok hospital where he was treated. while waiting he telephoned me, when I heard the name Bangkok hospital I told him only to get minimum treatment if safe to do so and get follow up treatment in Germany as the cost would be exorbitant. The doctor wanted to operate on his wrist but remembering what I had said he asked, and was assured, he could leave it for a few weeks. His wrist was immobilized and his grazes bandaged, 16,600 Baht. He paid with his credit card and asked me if it was worth going to the police, who took particulars of the accident, to ask about getting the money back from the driver, I said he could try but I didn't hold out much hope....how wrong I was. The police arranged an interview with him, the driver, an insurance rep and one of the hospital staff who treated him. The police told the rep that the driver was at fault and he promised payment within a few days and had brought the forms with him for my friend to fill out, the police gave him an accident report, before they could leave the medical staff interjected and said that wasn't enough, the man's holiday had been ruined (he couldn't use his drinking arm) and that he should be compensated with money for that as well, the police agreed and the insurance man said yes there was a standard payment for such cases, this was added to the details on the form. He was told he could pick up the money at the insurance office in 3 days. So not everything is a scam against farang. -

Thailand's Upcoming Entertainment Law Set to Change Nightlife
That's exactly why they will be built. Not only get some change from foreigners as usual, but get the rest as well - at least from some of them. Another prong to the forex generating trident of bar girl sponsorship, buying property in wife's name and funding life of sick buffalos/grandmas/etc which are all good with decent hooks, but for many Asian guys spending their change in WS, casinos could work better to get the rest from them. Have to say not a bad business strategy financially. But I'll stick playing with change only. -
