Pretty weedy outside of the help forums.

It should be approached in that manner and not let anything have a personal effect, I know it’s difficult for the ultra sensitive individuals.

There is a lot of useful information in the Health forum though the only poster there that I trust, is Sheryl as she does know what she is talking about.

Since Ubon Joe sadly departed us, there are several posters vying for his slot.

Crossy is very good and has a sense of humour as well.

How many people expect factual information on this site? Ok, in a few sub-forums like DIY or something there might be a useful answer. But mostly I have no high expectations from this forum.

There's nothing wrong with the forum. We've got one chap who wants to swill olive oil and put chilli on his pecker.

Really, so normal people then? Thank god for that, I was starting to get worried.

Forum moderation is much softer these days and that is greatly appreciated by many of us. This allows a more natural and relaxed exchange between posters without the fear that our favourite mod is breathing down our neck and will take exception to some innocent remark.

Nothing to fear, but fear itself.

Who said that?

It goes double, here, I think.

Yes it's a great thread and like the sort of threads we had when the forum was an excellent place to hang out on for hours of happy posting. Ah, the good old days!

Just about sums up the  intellectual levels of some posters.

We can all see why you have so many posters on ignore.

The direction of the forum should be aimed for posters that either live or visit Thailand, and with relevant experience.

Not those bitter posters, that failed in Thailand, and now post 20 or 30 posts daily from afar.

The number of people on an ignore list is relative to that posters willingness to tolerate nonsense. It doesn't make them bitter, just unwilling to put up with trolling and stupidity.

Yes fully agree.

I have posted my ignore list, maybe I listen to all, regardless of what nonsense is posted.

Have you looked at the posts, from the poster I was replying to, he ignores people because he cannot understand and denies facts and believes only his opinion is correct. When he has lost the debate and is proved wrong, he places you on ignore.

His ignore list is large, because he is thin skinned di####ad, have lives in his own alternative vacuum of a reality.

This no disrespect to your post, but sometimes you have to call out the posters, like I was replying to.

Right and wrong are not always absolute, grey sits between black and white. Not everyone can see grey, often people need definitive answers where only variable and conditional answers exist. If I'm debate something with someone who can't see grey, I may well put them on ignore, not because my answer is wrong, just because we can't debate on the same level.

Have no problems with your posts, this one or any other.

My only difference is I choice to not ignore anyone.

The poster I was talking about use ignore as he does not like facts, can never back up his claims, lacks critical thinking to debate the issues and feels he wins if he does not see the negative/opposition comments.

Cool! One more thing, coming from a very very long standing poster here. If I win or loose a debate or if somebody blocks me or annoys and baits the bejesus out of me, the issue is over and placed into history right there and then and doesn't get prolonged or remembered. To do otherwise is unhealthy, best to forget and move on.

The forum is AseanNow not ThailandNow.

Yes agree. Sometime I like to have a bit of fun with a few posters, as I know I can call them out and wind them up at the same time. 55555.

My problem is I have a very good memory and like to quote their own posts back at them to show their inconsistency.

Happy new year

Yet the forum is no longer TV, AN is aimed at most of SEA. Though if someone wants to be in a special club for the TH dwellers only then join or create a TH only club site, there’s always the TD. Personally I’m really not bothered by any of the text that others post on this site, just find it fascinating that some are easily wound up over a string of text on the internet, it’s silly.

Yes agreed. Although the poster does have a point that I can support regarding advice and guidance only from posters with relevant experience. I'm in a Faceache Group of expats where I live and the number of people proffering advice on serious issues, people who don't understand the first thing about anything Thailand related, is huge. I'd hate to see AN go the same way although I like to think the mods here wouldn't permit that.

Calling it AN was a marketing move by Dan (aka Bob S), look at the lack of posts on the other countries.

The poster I was taking talking about does not live in Asean, he failed at it, but continues to post so much rubbish every day.

You say you are not bothered by other posts on this site, but decide to reply twice, so far, to my posts, so is that inconsistency, or just being hypocritical? 555555

You seem bothered, it’s just a string of text.
There is no rule that states this is a forum for those who dwell in TH only…silliness. Do all the nanny’s of the site reside in TH? Should those that don’t be excluded as well?
How about validating each member when they sign in by showing their entry permit/long term stamp, that way we can be sure that the posters in within the borders of TH 5-5-5

If anyone wanted to surround them self with stereotype expats, wife beaters and all, that's where they should go.

I am not bothered. This is you 3rd reply to me, so I think it is you that have an issue.

Debating is not just repeating the same comment over again.

What are nanny’s? As I not sure what you mean.

Have a good day and happy new year.

PS. And TD (<URL Automatically Removed>) is just full of tos###s, who have major superiority, complex issues.

Besides diehard ping pong fanThaiBeachLover, the most enthusiastic, repeat poster in that thread is YOU. Change of heart?

Bob Smith was uncharacteristically silent on this sordid issue, so I popped in to to make sure it got covered. In the Lounge -where no horses need fear being frightened.

How many people are here strictly for laughs versus for acquiring serious information? Information containing a confirmatory link -and time stamps?

Those who overuse the ignore button, how do they cope with people they disagree with in normal life?
