Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
As far as I can recall, not a single EV owner on this forum has stated that EVs are suited for everyone. Most have gone to great lengths to state exactly the opposite, that if you are a regular long distance driver or have no access to home charging, an EV is probably not a good choice. No one has ever stated that their lifestyles is all that exists. However, I personally don’t know anyone who regularly drives long distances, requiring multiple charging stops to reach their destinations. I’ve had my EV for over a year. The longest journey I’ve made since buying it was from CM to Pai. Did this without having to stop and charge anywhere. If I were to go to Bkk from CM, to where I used to live, it’s a distance of 720 km. This would require 1 charging stop, same as for an ICEV. Since I would have to make multiple stops for food, rest and nature calls, I don’t see how an EV would be inferior in performance. Of course there will always be someone different. There was a poster recently who claims that he drives from Phuket to BKK 5 times a week. Also, he gets calls from his employer in the middle of the night telling him to make a 300 km journey pronto. In his case, he really should just drive a pickup with an auxiliary fuel tank in his cab. -

Boozy Australian Tourist Restrained by Phuket Airport Police
A bit like the problems the drunks Brits cause in flights both domestic in Britain and foreign. Solution : ban all alcohol sales on board all flights (after all they do fuss if you have your bottle of water thanks once again to the absurd "safety" rules of America who set up this rule decades ago, Now current tech enables to detect any suspicious contents in liquids so why harass passengers who want to carry their water on board ? Just to enable those stalls selling water for 5$ a bottle in airports ? Solution no 2 : impose a breath alcohol test to all passengers on boarding (and the crew) and ban and arrest any intoxicated passenger who shows up drunk at the gate. Problem solved. -

White Culture
Not so bad during good time(while things are going well from your perspective). But once you are off the social ladder, it will make you severely suffer Specially by the cause beyond own control. You will feel yourself badly devalued by losing what you thought important in worldly term; Secure career, well-paid job, comfortable home, social status etc. Obsessive masculinity makes the Bad Time Even Worse. -

Rising Baht Sparks Fears of Another 'Tom Yam Kung' Crisis
The Bhat is overvalued. No tourists will spend of if they do spend, they will spend far less. The proper rate for the Bhat should be to give no less then 45 THB for 1 €uro handed over the counter. -

It is absolutely the same comparison ad you charging at home. And that map of yours is not based in reality. Wifey drives to Chonburi/Rayong once a week to visit customers and if there are any charging stations they are not on the way. If she was driving electric she would get fired.
