Dcheech Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Will be at a nearby hotel for Christmas brunch. As they have Thai & asian dishes, plus a seafood bar, she will be happy. It also gives us a reason to dress up a bit. Looking forward to it. 1
Andycoops Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Same as last year, nothing. She is a Bhuddist.
lyskamm Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 What would be a nice little gift for our Thai friends boys aged 11 and 14 yo? Humble kids from the countryside?
thrilled Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 I give mine the 23K gold that is in Bangkok at Chinatown. If she needs something and the price of gold is up she’ll sell it. Til then she just holds onto it.
Prubangboy Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 I bought her a Diptych candle. $100, Oud scent. Once you try Diptych, you can never go back to a cheap candle. She already has two Diptychs on the go.
Thingamabob Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Nothing. I don't celebrate Christmas. 1

I gave Go Kart experience to 3 gf's brothers boys and they loved it! Ages 7 to 14. I'm not 100% sure but it may have been EasyKart at Bali hai pier track, gf bought the gift cards. 1

spidermike007 Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Many Thais celebrate any and all holidays. It is just a part of their fun loving spirit. Any excuse for a party, or some good times. 1
Popular Post The Theory Posted December 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2023 I'm giving everyday, 365 days. Perhaps Christmas will be my day off. 2 1
shackleton Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Same every Christmas it's the thought that counts 🥳 1

Popular Post richard_smith237 Posted December 18, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 18, 2023 The 'nothing...I'm atheist in a buddhist country' type comments just highlight what miserable old farts some people are. I see my Wife exchange loads of gifts with her Thai friends - loads of Thai's take part in and go along with a festive celebration - I think a lot of it will depend upon where in the country you are and how 'international' your significant other is. Loads of Wife's friends, educated overseas, kids at international schools etc so they go along with the 'international celebration' they have Christmas tree's up & decorations in their houses etc I don't see it as a religious celebration - I think those that do are just looking for any excuse to justify being miserable farts. What will my Wife get ??... loads of nice little gifts that she'll enjoy & we'll spend Christmas in the UK with family as we do every year. 1 1 1 1
Skeptic7 Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Don't celebrate xmas, but every freakin' day of the year is like her birthday or a kids xmas...so not a damn thing. Will give her a tidy sum for New Years tho❗🤣 She definitely deserves it too.
davidstipek Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 A bag of Salt Peter and some Birth Control Pills!
riclag Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Jimmy Choo Perfume Shoes. Big party with the family at my home in the Moobann Maa!
BTB1977 Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 The same thing she has given me every year. Not a damm thing. I figured that out 3 Christmases into the relationship. 1 1

If I'm feeling generous, maybe a pair of work gloves to wear while she's mowing the lawn. Should have told me earlier. Bought the wife one a few years ago and it's still as good as new. Looking for a good home. 3
GammaGlobulin Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 If I had a wife, .... I would give her a 65-foot sailboat. NOT a cheap one, either. And then, we would just cruise the world. And, maybe we would visit the Sand Island, the one I have read about.
thesetat Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 You all probably would not believe me but here goes. Wife always complaining she has no boobs and wants to have a doctor make her fake boobs... So I bought her detachable fake silicon boobs and a butt plug sitting under the tree. Because we have 3 little kids it will serve as a nice joke because she is always complaining about the size of her boobs in front of them. Although the butt plug will be a private gift. Also got her an electric automatic curler for her hair. A dish set, a family sized tent, air beds, power generator, mini air conditioner for use in tents and all that is needed to cook and be comfortable outdoors for camping since she had mentioned wanting to start doing this with our kids. Then there are lots of new Korean fashion designer clothes and a few other small things. Made our kids use their own money to buy her some clothes and jewelry and make-up
paulbrow Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Hmmmm... Monday December 25, 2023, same as Monday December 18, 2023, normal work day. Pretty sure I won't get anything beyond my normal salary for the day. TIT
