Popular Post DudleySquat Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 When the pandemic was raging, both hydroxychloroquine and Ivermect were removed from local pharmacies and were only available in hospitals. Why was it removed? As you can see from my chat a few minutes ago, Fascino now has both for sale. Why was it removed? Why is it back? Does this make sense to anyone? 1 1 2 1
Popular Post lopburi3 Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 They were removed to protect supply - both were being used (mis) as home treatments - since they have been proven ineffective and pandemic has become manageable there is no need to control access? 1 1 2 1 1 1
KhunBENQ Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Wasn't it some orange colored guy who promoted it besides toilet cleaner for protecting from Covid? 1 1 1 1

Pish posh. You can do better than this. Why was it removed? Why is it back? Try to explain this in logical terms, please. Why should Fascino or any other pharmacy care about Trump? 1 1 1
Popular Post TallGuyJohninBKK Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 Because both medications listed above have legitimate human medical uses -- hydroxychloroquine as an anti-malarial and treatment for several other conditions, and ivermectin as an anti-parisitic... But neither of them have been shown to have any benefit in treating or preventing COVID, which is where they came to widespread public attention and demand during the pandemic, because of numerous bogus and misinformation claims made about them. 2 1 1
Popular Post KhunBENQ Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 Seems you have big problems following simple logic. First answer from lopburi3 is completely clear and logical. Some stupidos claimed that this stuff is curing/protecting from Covid. And that not only in the US but also here which led to a run for the substances draining supply. 3 1 1

I'd imagine, both medications remained available throughout the pandemic from hospital pharmacies with the specific prescription by doctors for legitimate uses.... But to whatever extent the two were removed here from general pharmacies, where no doctor's order or prescription is required to purchase, it presumably was to both protect their supply and prevent their rampant misuse and abuse. 1

If you chatted with them then why didn't you ask them why they didn't stock it? If your claim that both were removed is even true which I highly doubt. 2 1

You haven't clearly shown that it was... other than an anecdotal claim from your contact with one Thai pharmacy chain... But beyond that, as to your "safest" claim.... "Several countries initially used chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine for treatment of persons hospitalized with COVID-19 (as of March 2020), though the drug was not formally approved through clinical trials.[58][59] From April to June 2020, there was an emergency use authorization for their use in the United States,[60] and was used off label for potential treatment of the disease.[61] On 24 April 2020, citing the risk of "serious heart rhythm problems", the FDA posted a caution against using the drug for COVID-19 "outside of the hospital setting or a clinical trial".[62] ... In 2020, the speculative use of hydroxychloroquine for COVID-19 threatened its availability for people with established indications (malaria and auto-immune diseases).[54]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydroxychloroquine 1 1

Popular Post Sheryl Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 These drugs were not "removed", the pharmacies which stock them normally ran out due to a surge in buying by people misled by COVID misinformation. (these drugs are not common items so only larger pharmacies had them to begin with). As the main purpose of this thread seems to be the spreading of COVID misinformation. it is closed.
