Ivermectin & Hydroxychlorequine removed from local pharmacies. Now it has returned.

When the pandemic was raging, both hydroxychloroquine and Ivermect were removed from local pharmacies and were only available in hospitals.  Why was it removed? 

 

As you can see from my chat a few minutes ago, Fascino now has both for sale. 

 

Why was it removed? Why is it back? Does this make sense to anyone?

They were removed to protect supply - both were being used (mis) as home treatments - since they have been proven ineffective and pandemic has become manageable there is no need to control access?

Why should Fascino or any other pharmacy care about Trump?

Because both medications listed above have legitimate human medical uses -- hydroxychloroquine as an anti-malarial and treatment for several other conditions, and ivermectin as an anti-parisitic...

 

But neither of them have been shown to have any benefit in treating or preventing COVID, which is where they came to widespread public attention and demand during the pandemic, because of numerous bogus and misinformation claims made about them.

First answer from lopburi3 is completely clear and logical.

 

Some stupidos claimed that this stuff is curing/protecting from Covid.

And that not only in the US but also here which led to a run for the substances draining supply.

I'd imagine, both medications remained available throughout the pandemic from hospital pharmacies with the specific prescription by doctors for legitimate uses....

 

But to whatever extent the two were removed here from general pharmacies, where no doctor's order or prescription is required to purchase, it presumably was to both protect their supply and prevent their rampant misuse and abuse.

If you chatted with them then why didn't you ask them why they didn't stock it? If your claim that both were removed is even true which I highly doubt.

I use a 0.5 ml of 1% solution to treat fox mange back in the UK and pay royally for it. Any idea what strength these tablets are and how much I will stock up on it for my return.

You haven't clearly shown that it was... other than an anecdotal claim from your contact with one Thai pharmacy chain... But beyond that, as to your "safest" claim....

Ivermectin creator was given the Nobel Peace Prize.  The WHO says it is one of the safest drugs on the planet.

These drugs were not "removed", the pharmacies which stock them normally ran out  due to a surge in buying by people misled by COVID misinformation.

 

(these drugs  are not common items so only larger pharmacies had them to begin with).

 

As the main purpose of this thread seems to be the spreading of COVID misinformation. it is closed.
