It's a genie question. When I started university I also become self employed and was doing internet gigs on the side. When i finished university 5 years later I had more then 800k Bath in my bank account. And then I could finally concerate on making money and not wasting time studying. That's why simply can't grasp how some people could work for 40 years and they don't have 800k Baht in bank. Like what are you doing 16 hours a day for 40 years that result is 200 Baht in a bank?

That's a very self-centered and poor attitude.  Anyone can fall on hard times - often for reasons beyond their control. Sometimes not even hard times, just the cost of life - raising a family etc. The dice don't always roll the way you'd like.

I've had several ups and down's in my life and fortunately, I now know that I'll be OK when I retire.  Had I been retiring 15 years ago I'd be right in the do do with little time to try and put it right.

I have a friend who's brother is a multi millionaire - self made. He's the most miserable guy I know - never has a smile and lives alone. He made his money by concentrating on nothing else - not even his ex wife and family.  Following his divorce he married a Philippino girl - she left rapidly because of his attitude.

By contrast I know several people that are '1 paycheque away from bankruptcy', are happy and have had a good life.

Yeah, accidents happen and it can bankrupt you especially in USA. But it's most likely what you described, that people are living beyond their means (which I don't understand and can't relate to). I don't want to turn this into dick measuring competition because I would definitely lose. But for example right now I have like 7M - 12M in Bitcoin alone. And I drive 2015 Toyota worth 250k. While my neighbor has 1M car (Fortuner). And he is paying monthly payments (because he can't afford to pay 1M in cash) which will make him pay like 2M for that car. That's pure stupidity.

Why? I don't make money in English or interested in your mom.

Another crashing bore…. 🙄
