Your problem is that J6 thingey were in front of millions live on tv he sicked his crowd of lied to Americans on the capitol not to mention in his prison gangster sideways manner threaten the VPs life if he didn’t go along with his attempted coup.then there’s the attempted rigging of the vote in Georgia…….and still the lies about the election and calls for violence.ALL of that qualifies as an attempted coup / insurrection

The Economist, in November 2023, said Trump poses the biggest danger to the world in 2024. They’re not wrong. If Trump becomes president again, the consequences for the USA in particular and the world in general would be catastrophic. And not just economically.

A newly established code of conduct put in place by the Supreme Court may come back to haunt Justice Clarence Thomas as the court prepares to hear testimony on whether Donald Trump can be banned from the ballot in 2024.

 

With the Colorado ballot case known as Anderson v. Griswold to be heard later in the year, Democratic lawmakers are putting Justice Thomas on the spot to recuse himself due to his wife's links to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the heart of the case.

 

According to the letter delivered to the jurist from the Democrats, "A Justice should disqualify himself or herself in a proceeding in which the Justice’s impartiality might reasonably be questioned, that is, where an unbiased and reasonable person who is aware of all relevant circumstances would doubt that the Justice could fairly discharge his or her duties," later continuing, "The Justice knows that the Justice…or the Justice’s spouse… has a financial interest in the subject matter in controversy or in a party to the proceeding, or any other interest that could be affected substantially by the outcome of the proceeding.”

I was in high school when the Supremes were on the charts, and when she went solo the consensus among the black students was that she was a piece of turd for abandoning the other two singers.

Personally I've always had very little tolerance for that middle-of-the-road genre, I still call it "grandma music" even though I am now of grandparent age.  Just thinking about it makes me want to play some old Doors stuff.

But back on track: I'm in favor of DT dialing up the threats and insults, it reminds the world of who/what he is, even if it is all false.

Trump supporters remind me of the old Chico Grouch joke:  "Who you gonna believe, your eyes or me?"  Trump's base obviously believe Trump over their own eyes.
