Everybody knows Trump will win the primaries by large. It's been anticipated in all polls. Everybody also knows (apart from MAGA fans) that the only way Biden can win the election, is if Trump is the other candidate. Haley is the most dangerous candidate for the Dems and she's only third. It's rather a good news for them. 4 1 1

I would anticipate Biden is going to demolish Trump in debates, he has so much material to work with. This is a clip of Biden responding to someone in his audience who had a fall, IMO he has his wits about him. Given you only get his name spelled right 50% of the time, it doesn't say much about your own brain cells. Biden: “You ok? I've talked to a few of them and they say he's the lesser of two evils or some other nonsense like I'm not voting for the man I'm voting for the issues, and he represents my issues more than the Democrats. It's a total compromise and it's a "sell your soul to back the issues" kind of deal but nonetheless that's the way they think. And of course the other issue is that the Democrats just made a huge mistake by supporting Biden for a second term, having Harris close to the presidency is a nightmare, she's a nightmare. And Joe is ancient.

You are (unsurprisingly) conflating two things: Trump being popular with Republican voters and Trump being popular overall. All this proves is he has a lock on the Republican party (something we all knew) and will (legal issues aside), get the Repuublican nomination. This is of no surprise to anyone. The test of course will be in November when the nation votes. Then we will see. 2 3

He ended up being almost universally loathed by New Jerseyans. As for Trump being a successful businessman, he destroyed his father's highly successful business and went on to bankrupt several other business. The thing that ultimately saved him was The Apprentice where he traded on the widely held but false belief that he was a great negotiator. As his multiple bankruptcies show, he massively overpaid for those businesses that went bankrupt. As for Biden, he was successful as a Senator, wasn't he. With lots of important legislative accomplishments. Actually I was thinking of DeSantis, Haley, and Ramaswamy. Biden was a nobody as a Senator. A rusty weather vane who took no chances and was very careful to never make any hard decisions. As a younger man, he was glib and friendly, which took him a long way in the 80s and 90s as he served longer and longer. He did nothing in the private sector but instead bellied up to the government trough as fast as he could after stumbling out of Law School. Getting picked as VP was supposed to be his "gold watch", after which he was ticketed to fade away into obscurity. Tragically, it didn't work out that way. 1 2
