But, at least, I have far more sympathy and respect for Jim....because....

At the time Rogers made his sojourn throughout China, there were not smartphones, really.

 

Also, his journey was amazing, for its time.

 

And, ALSO, according to my recollection, he has a daughter who speaks perfect Chinese.

 

Not to mention that he has some sense of humor, as well.
