I do not label everyone a racist. I also accept that there are many Brexiters who are neither racist or xenophobic. Nevertheless, I also believe that there are some Brexiters who are racist and/or xenophobic.

 

Perhaps the reason that some people are irritated by being labelled 'racist' is that it is a bit too close to the truth for comfort? All conjecture on my part of course.

I sometimes read his posts but I don't answer them as after my last answer in response to his post, he accused me of both lecturing him and trolling him. By not responding to his posts I have lost nothing.

Thank you for that information. Perhaps it would be an idea to only keep them for 3 months before auctioning them off or sub contract it out to a scrap dealer and let him do as he wishes with the boats.

It’s not unreasonable to assume that many will seek refuge/asylum/sanctuary elsewhere and equally not unreasonable to assume many have existing connections to the UK.

 

Just like people from other war torn areas of the world show up at the UK’s borders seeking refuge/asylum/sanctuary.

Reasonable? Nope.

 

For starters, how will they get there? Borders are closed, maritime blockade in place, tunnels probably more under scrutiny. This isn't the same as with people coming from Africa, refugees already in Turkey and making their way to Europe etc.

 

I don't see either Egypt or Israel opening up the borders for such movement post-war - not unless it's an organized effort with destination accepting refugees and so on.
