Hello. To september I will go to Roiet, where I will stay for an month.

For the lodging, I would be oriented to take in rent a small apartment. I' d like to know all info possible (addresses to which I can address? Prices, also indicative?) on the rent of a small apartment (composition: bedroom, stay with angle baking, bath, with conditioned air, tv and Internet). Angle baking is important because I cook personally.

Thanks.

Roi Et is close to Kalasin and Mahasarakham.

It is a great place.

When we are there we stay at an apartment block for between bht370 - bht 450.

The rooms have aircon, shower, real toilet and a fridge if you want. Also a balcony.

Everything is spotless and there is security in the carpark at night.

It is also only a few doors down the road from what I think is the best farang food in the area being 'The White Elephant'

We like to cook our own food as well. There are no cooking facilities so we purchased some cheap electric apliances and did fine with them. Just couldnt touch them when the power was turned on.

If your interested here it is:

Poon Petch Sport Club

phone 0-4351-6391-4

09-2731003

It is across the road from the Roi Et City Hotel.

Thanks Vegemite,

but you do not know if there are true little apartments with: bedroom, stay with angle kitchen (I must follow a diet, I must cook personally) and bath, (with conditioned air, tv and Internet)?

I have understood that the apartments of Poon Petch Sport Club

are only composed from one bedroom and a bath...

Thanks.

Hi Ron

You mean to say that you don't know what angle baking is? Well me neither! you might let me know if and when you ever find out?

Lenny - I don't know Roiet, so I can't help you on your question. I would be fascinated to know though, why you are planning on going there for a month with no idea of the facilities available - did you just stick a pin in a map?

And - Please, please, please tell us all just what is 'angle baking' or 'stay with angle kitchen'. We realise that English is not your first language, and applaud your efforts to use it, but unfortunately those phrases just don't mean anything that we can even guess at

"angle baking". Still a mystery to me but after a google seach found it is a common term in apartment and hotel sites. All seem to be in Italy. A picture from one of the sites looks to me like a kitchenette in our parlance.

I have been speaking English for over 60 years and and mine is not very good either.

The Roiet City Hotel has some large suites but I don't know if they have kitchens.

I will be in Roiet town in the next two days. I will check further on availability of small apartment with kitchen. Roiet is not really a big tourist center. In fact it is not really a big anything center! It is unlikely you will find anything that fits your description. Have you considered staying somewhere more developed but close to Roiet. Khon Kaen or Surin might be a good alternative.

Jimmy thanks.

The Roiet City Hotel is very expensive for me...I would be oriented to spend maximum 400 baht/day.

Beyond that to try a small apartment with kitchenette in Roiet, you could also ask the address e-mail or fax number of the Poon Petch Sport Club co. ltd - 52 Robmueng st., across the road from The Roi Et City Hotel? (If just it is not possible to find a small apartment with kitchenette, or with real kitchen, I could contact they).

Thanks and good trip!

Hello,

I hope I can send this picture of the business cards of the apartment and The White Elephant.

They are very close together on the same road.

If you phone or fax " The White Elephant " I am sure the owner will be happy to help you find something that you want.

They speak english and are very nice people.

Good luck.

Some one on this forum will know much more than me and could probably help you more.

Try a new post and ask a question.

E.G. Apartment in Roi Et needed.

All the best

Great shots. BTW, the standing budda is 101 (roiet) sawg (measurement from elbow to palm) in height hence the name Roiet.
