How can the war between Israel and Hamas ever end when so many schools in Gaza - run by a UN agency backed by our millions - teach children to hate Jews?

"Iran is now a ‘legitimate target’ for Israeli missile strikes, senior minister says"

Mr Barkat, who is favourite to succeed Benjamin Netanyahu as leader of the ruling Likud party, said Israel could afford to keep fighting and open up a new front with Lebanon, despite the billion shekel (£200 million) a day cost of the conflict.

He's a wannabe successor, who riles at having zero influence on current things. Everything he says is more to do with inter-party politics, rather than being actual policy. Also, he's got no ideology - he just goes with the flow and says what serves him at a given moment. Netnayhu asked ministers to tone it down - sensing his political weakness, most disregard it. The right-wing ministers thought process seems to be that their days in office are about to end in the not so long future. With re-election prospects not looking good, they compete for party/bloc leadership - which mandates support of the more extreme elements therein. That's why there are a lot of these statements about.

The headline points to an obvious truth, Israel should stop its occupation and give Palestinians a homeland like the Jews have. Netanyahu's rejection of the two state solution because he wants to steal more Palestinian lands is an outrage. But just a correction, there are no schools in Gaza, just as there are no hospitals functioning because of the Israeli bombing.

Israel seems not to notice that their actions cause the Palestinians to hate them, so stop the action to stop the hate. There is no justification for all this murder and hate from Israel, treating Palestinians like they were subhuman.

If you kill people their relatives will hate you until they die.....but if you steal their land they will hate you forever. Getting rid of Hamas will not get rid of the original injustice, and will result in a movement more extreme and violent than Hamas. With drones it's pretty easy to deliver any sort of really nasty substance into Israel, and it is only a matter of time until Hamas or its successor gets hold of really nasty stuff. Better to solve this by negotiation rather than an endless cycle of violence,

That's the problem, the Palestinians will NEVER going stop hating Israel and still want "their homeland back"

meaning the whole of Israel and with their own land they will continue to make arms and plot the next war and

no one can stop them, and until a solution will be found as to who going to supervise them to behave, giving them

their own land is going to remain a problem...

This is how kids in Gaza grow under Hamas's terrorist regime.

This is exactly how ISIS brainwashed kids to kill people.

After Hamas is destroyed, they will have a normal life.

"If you kill people their relatives will hate you until they die.....but if you steal their land they will hate you forever"

A simplistic generalization.  I sincerely doubt the millions of Russians mourning their lost loved ones who died in Putin's illegal meat grinder invasion of Ukraine are hating Ukrainians.

Otherwise your statement is a record achievement in onesidedness.

Did you not notice how Jingthing ignored the question asked?

I asked earlier, in response to their comment that Palestinians hate Israelis, to answer why Palestinians have a problem with Israelis.

They didn't respond. They might have admit that this all started before October 7th, and start to understand why they are angry.

I have replied to this question already when i wrote that some can see why the Palestinians have

a problem with Israel but why Iran, Hezbollah, the Hutties and a myriad of other countries and

groups have a problem with Israel and not even hiding the fact that they want Israel gone,

destroyed and cease to exist all together, by re enacting the Nazis "Final solution" for

the Jews of Europe just because Israel is alone trying to fend off her enemies...

A false argument. Putin is invading another country in an attempt to grab land.

This is what Israel did when it started the 1967 war, or the so called 'six day war'.

Do Ukrainians hate Russians? Yeah, they do. They have destroyed their lives.

Do Palestinians hate Israelis? Yeah, they do. They have destroyed their lives.

A peaceful settlement is the only way this war will end, and it will not end if Israel gets everything it wants. Both sides need to compromise, and the Palestinians have shown a willingness - 50% in the last poll taken before the war - to permanently end the conflict and have two states based on the 1967 borders. Over 70% want the PA in charge, not Hamas.

Some of the kids who went through a Hamas school summer camp no doubt.

Israel says Hamas deployed more than 170 children to the front lines while terrorists ‘hide in shelters’

Israel claims Hamas has been training children to join their campaign of terror and has even deployed the youngsters to the front lines to “deliver messages and ammunitions.”

Israel Defense Force (IDF) released photos Wednesday that show the aspiring child soldiers posing alongside Hamas terrorists while holding semiautomatic weapons and manning deadly rocket launchers.

“Terrorism is not innate, it is learned,” IDF wrote in a post on X, alongside a video of children running through Hamas tunnels.

“During the ongoing war, Hamas has positioned children on the frontlines, sending them to deliver messages and ammunition while its operatives hide in shelters.”

I'll tell you why they are angry. They have been lied to. By their OWN leaders. They have been told since 1948 that "someday", they will be able to reclaim the land they lost.  And it has not happened, never will happen either.  Never thought being a refugee would be a multi-generational state, but successive generations of young Palestinians are poisoned by propaganda and hatred from the time they can walk.

They are also angry because their 'brothers' in the Muslim world treat them like crap, refuse to grant them rights and citizenship, and keep them in a stateless limbo.

They are also angry because repeated attempts by Arab/Muslim states to invade and destroy Israel have all failed. They feel emasculated at being defeated by Jews.

They are also angry because Israel is a thriving and successful country, in spite of the handicap of geography. By contrast, the surrounding Arab/Muslim countries are all failing kleptocracies to one extent or another.

I've heard it all now, trying to put the blame of Palestinian anger on the Palestinians :cheesy:

The have lived a life of dispossession and denied rights. Generations of Palestinians have grown up witnessing the expansion of Israeli settlements, the demolition of their homes, and restrictions on their movement and access to resources. This is what   has caused their anger.

Palestinians face a heavily militarized occupation that restricts their basic freedoms and rights, while Israel enjoys significant military and economic support from the US of A.

This is about Hamas's influence in Gaza, not West Bank where the settlements are a different issue that I also do not agree with

I agree with your first point - but I would include the deaths of their loved ones, not just being forced off their land and kicked out of their homes.

The 2nd point is not true at all, Israel is the only one denying them rights and citizenship. This is an argument Hitler himself made, remember? "Nobody wants them"

Your third point is also not true. There have been 6 major wars between Arab states and Israel over this issue, 3 of which Israel started.

Most of them have no idea what life is like in Israel, so I doubt it!

Constantly killing more and more of them and destroying any chance they have of making a life for themselves will only make things worse.

The ICJ is ruling today on the genocide case, so fingers crossed Israel will be asked to stop this.

Wars will never end whilst we allow young minds to be indoctrinated.

ALL religious schools are an abomination.

If humans survive we will look back on religion and religious schools in the same way we now look back on racism, slavery and apartheid.

Documenting the Enablers of Hamas War Crimes: UN Agencies, Government Aid Programs and NGOs

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: UN agencies, government aid programs and NGOs have consistently and willfully aided and abetted Hamas as it built its vast terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. They diverted aid money to Hamas to fund its terrorist activities, provided propaganda and disinformation support to Hamas in its efforts to tarnish and discredit Israel, and indoctrinated Gazan schoolchildren to hate Jews. Systematic documentation of the roles played by UN and government officials, as well as NGOs operating under the vast framework of international humanitarian aid, in enabling and cooperating with Hamas, both tacitly and actively, is vital to prevent a repetition of this abdication of responsibility and accountability.

I'm not crossing the line at all, we spoke about this article on another thread. This is the second time you have brought this article up, and the second time you have made a false accusation. There is a huge difference between all 3000 members supporting the massacres, and a few of them doing so.

In that other thread you acknowledged that it was a group of 3000 teachers, only some of which wrote messages supporting the massacre. Is this true or not? Is it all 3000 or some of them?

UN Admits: UN Women Deputy Chief’s Anti-Israel Tweets ‘Violated Code of Conduct’

GENEVA, December 27, 2023 — In wake of an exposé by a watchdog group, the United Nations has admitted that UN Women Deputy Chief Sarah Douglas “committed a violation of the Code of Conduct” in connection with her anti-Israel activity on social media, and that the matter is “being dealt with,” according to a statement by the UN Secretary-General’s spokesman.

Last week, Ms. Douglas deleted her social media accounts on X (formerly known as Twitter) and LinkedIn after the exposé revealed her partisan political activity in endorsing 153 posts since October 7th that promoted anti-Zionism, accused Israel of “genocide,” and celebrated shutting down bridges and highways for campaigns opposing Israel.

Nikki Haley to 'Post': UN antisemitism led to October 7 massacre

image.png.3e2fdfb7f744676ed1d48a2899b58b17.png

I’ve seen antisemitism. I confronted it every day at the United Nations. And I know that the Jew-haters try to hide it by saying they only hate Israel.

All it takes is 24 hours at the UN to realize that anti-Zionism is just a modern name for the ancient evil of antisemitism.

The worst-kept secret at the UN is that antisemitism is operating just beneath the surface. I saw it in my first few days on the job as US ambassador to the UN

What a joke. Antizionism is not antisemitism. The zionists resort to name calling to deflect an inability to debate the causes of antizionism.

Until World War II, anti-Zionism was widespread among Jews for varying reasons. Orthodox Jews opposed Zionism on religious grounds, as preempting the Messiah,[b] while secular Jews identified more with ideals of the Enlightenment and saw Zionism as a reactionary ideology.

The relationship between Zionism, anti-Zionism and antisemitism is debated, with some academics and organizations that study antisemitism taking the view that anti-Zionism is inherently antisemitic or new antisemitism, while others reject any such linkage as unfounded and a method to stifle criticism of Israel and its policies, including its occupation of the West Bank and blockade of the Gaza Strip.

Inaccurate charges of anti-Semitism are not merely calumny, but threaten to debase the term itself and weaken its connection to a very real, and very dangerous, form of prejudice
