Purdey
Focusing on the giant snaking lines of departing and incoming passengers would be useful. Where will they find the English-speaking people to deal with the extra passengers, I wonder.

spidermike007
Nope. Not gonna happen. You have to offer significant helicopter and small plane charters. Especially in a nation that has hopelessly choked highways. Thailand needs to make some sacrifices. Something the lame authorities don't seem to understand. Iron Tongue
C'mon everybody, it was just a typo. Instead of wanting to be the Asian aviation hub, they mean to be the Asian aviation rub. I believe plans are already in motion to build go-go bars inside BKK airport.

stargrazer9889
Airports are very expensive to build and maintain. Is Thailand wanting to be a maintanence hub? That is a very precise line of work, with a verh high standard of safety, and highly skilled Ircraft engineers needed as well. Just saying.

Agree but BKK has to improve its immigration and baggage delivery time to catch up with Changi where it's a slow arrival if you're not in a cab, bus or train within 15-20 minutes of your plane reaching its gate. Check in and immigration on leaving is also a breeze with everything fully automated. These things aside it offers far better value than Singapore for a stop off. The use of two airports while making sense may not help the hub concept
Sydebolle
The hub of all hubs - how comforting. But, before you apply for this position, you might want to clean up your tremendously bureaucratic immigration act and inch from 1'380'417 BC to the 21st century. Air travel, no TM6, border crossing TM6 mandatory (in some cases), the confusion with the nose-poking officers is evident. English, politeness and a smile would really help as this is the first direct face-to-face contact with the dirty farang, alien, khaek, jeck and whatever the semi-divine call the tourists. Latter should actually just dump their cash and valuables in a drum, best not even leaving the aircraft and bugger off again ;-) Some last week's impression of the qualification to be come the hub-of-all-hubs ....:
