Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin defended his overseas trips and visits to neighbouring countries as being necessary to boost foreign investment in Thailand and to forge closer relationships with its neighbours.

He also defended his various visits to the provinces to address local problems, such as the PM2.5 airborne pollution in Chiang Mai.

In response to senators’ criticisms of his government’s alleged under-performance, on the first day of the Senate’s general debate against his government today, the prime minister said he is not upset by the Senate debate, despite the fact that he has been in office for only seven months. And good on him for mentioning this small fact. Hypocrisy should always be called out.

So nothing achieved in 7 months....is still a lot of wasted time.. He can promote Thailand in the rest of the world but Thailand need changes first

He has overspent the budget on major infrastructure projects - aka brown envelopes.

Apart from that - no positive achievements.

For us all that matter is that he gives strict instructions to the embassies abroad to make retirement pensionner visa issues more simple and faster processing for the quality retirees with big spending power from western european countries or America. Stop asking for all those translations and notorised documents. Hire locally people who can at least the local forms and thus stop asking for absurd translations that need to be sent all over the place for a 30 bucks stamp on each passage.

Without tourism and foreign investment Thailand has nothing, apart from a handful of elite family conglomerates.

He was touring the globe trying to get countries to invest in Thailands economy and infrastructure so that it doesn't go down the tube.

As the senate is 99% Army it is hardly likely they will bite the hand that feeds them.  Srettha doesn't have enough/any guns.

At last a photo of him without that inane open mouthed smile, looking like a clown, but the clown is still lurking inside.

He reminds me of a big Rishi full of useless deflections and no substance 🤔
