Should European leaders confront Trump and tell him what they think about him?
In Ukraine and Gaza Trump behaves as if he is the world's king and he can just dictate what others should do. And many leaders are very careful not to criticize Trump. Because if they do that, then Trump retaliates. But if they the leaders are nice to Trump, and don't confront him, how long will that last? Trump does some more, and they do nothing. And then Trump does some more, and they do nothing. For how long? I.e. just image Trump would just declare he takes over Greenland. He puts some military up there and tells the world they should just accept it. Unfortunately, this is not as unimageable anymore like it used to be just a couple of months ago. So, my suggestion is that all European leaders, and anybody else in the world who feels like it, should tell Trump they had enough of his stupid tantrums and enough of his lies. Tell him to play fair or get lost! Obviously, this would be difficult for Europe. But in a way it would probably unite them more against the common enemy. Get it over with. The friendship between the USA and Europe is over, accept it. If Europe continues to kotow to Trump with his crazy behavior, how could the situation get any better? -

I guess that's what happens when you live rent-free in the heads of some people. In your case, there's no furnishings to speak of. -

Sadiq Khan Welcomes Trump to London in Surprising Shift
Funny how people who live there or visit regularly say the transport is great, but the anti-Khan brigade who don't live there and don't visit say it is screwed. Interesting. -

Heroic Rescue in Chon Buri After Sleepy Driver's Crash
Picture courtesy of KhaoSod In the early hours of February 21, an ordinary drive on Road 331 in Chon Buri took a dangerous turn when a drowsy driver, 42-year-old Semian Khanwong, crashed his truck into a parked timber trailer. The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. at Noen Hin Intersection, leaving him trapped in the wreckage. Local police, led by Lieutenant Thitirat Phenglom, alongside the Sawang Het Ban Thung Hiang Phanat Nikhom rescue team, sprang into action. Armed with cutting equipment, the team worked intensely for over 30 minutes to extract Semian from the mangled six-wheel truck. Despite suffering a severe leg fracture, Semian was stabilized on-site and promptly transported to Phanat Nikhom Hospital for further care. Preliminary investigations suggest Semian may have fallen asleep at the wheel, leading to the severe collision. While fatigue is suspected as a key factor, authorities are combing through CCTV footage and preparing to interview Semian to reconstruct the events that led to the crash. The incident underscores the dangers of drowsy driving and highlights the life-saving efforts of rescue teams, whose swift response ensured Semian received timely medical attention, preventing a potential tragedy, reported The Thaiger. -- 2025-02-21
