Confusion about Thai E-visa non immigrant 30 or 90 day validity

Featured Replies

Hello all, my Australian father is about to lodge his E visa application through the Thai embassy in Sydney for the single entry 90 day non-immigrant Visa under purpose of retirement.

However he is a little confused as the E-visa site states that the visa is valid for 30 days yet the application is for a 90 day visa???

Attached is a screenshot of the website.

Anybody able to explain what this is about?

Yes, e-visa site in Aus incorrectly states valid for 1 month. I applied for non-imm O on 20th March, was granted entry before 20th June so 3 months validity despite what application said as 1 month. Gives 90 day stay with extension of 12 months allowed.

The way that text is written, it means that the visa is valid for travel to Thailand within 30 days from the visa's date of issue.

This is not in line with the information on the website of Thailand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

The visa is valid for entry for 30 days, should be 3 months, so the text is wrong. On entry he will be given a stamp of 90 days in Thailand.
