Latest was 6 times as much as the December 2023 one. Previous years the differential had been less than 4 times. And yes the heat is brutal with little overnight relief. Unfortunately no thought given to designing a cooler, insulated and shaded house so by noon without the aircon all rooms inside are like ovens. To my northern European mind roof insulation, double skin walls with an air gap between and double glazed windows were about keeping the cold out and heat in, and heating bills down. Even our water which is pumped from a shaded tank is hot at the moment, too hot for a shower to give relief. And also just not migrating to other, cooler rooms. You usually don’t have to be confined in a certain room with laptops and whatnot. Pre cooling rooms or a car by rolling windows down and expelling hot air before turning on the ac. Little things matter to me because if we used energy more efficiently it certainly has positive environmental impacts as well. In a building it could be 33 or more up to midnight with high humidity too. Of an evening, a sensible strategy could be to wander the streets in tight fitting swimming briefs, perhaps in bright lemon, or shock pink. Could make some interesting new friends too. Minimal to no mozzies as well, quite unusual for this time oty. A good 38⁰ in da crib though, just as outside right now where it reached 41⁰ earlier today. Marcous Posted May 5 Share Posted May 5 Temperature and humidity in my kitchen a few days ago (CM) The fridge doesn't help, I sometimes turn it off for a few hours and back on at night. What I don't understand is I still see Thais wearing coats while on mopeds. Yesterday I saw a girl dressed up like she was going into the Arctic- which begs the question, are they trying to keep the heat out?
