Describing Biden's administration as a "Gestapo administration," Trump criticized the prosecutors involved in his cases and lamented the ongoing legal challenges he faces. He expressed disdain for the indictments against his associates and denounced Biden as "the worst president in the history of our country," labeling him as "grossly incompetent" and "crooked as hell."

 

Trump's disparaging remarks extended to Jack Smith, the special counsel prosecuting two federal cases against him, whom he referred to as an "evil thug" and "deranged." The former president's comments drew sharp criticism from Biden's campaign spokesperson, who condemned Trump's rhetoric as despicable and insulting.

 

The event, held at Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club, coincided with the Republican National Committee's spring retreat, attracting hundreds of donors. Despite his legal obligations, Trump made time to address the attendees, highlighting the challenges posed by his criminal trial in Manhattan and his commitment to his political endeavors.

Bates underscored the significant reduction in violent crime achieved under Biden's leadership, positioning it as a testament to the administration's approach.

 

Trump's comparison of the Biden administration to the Gestapo evoked strong criticism, with many pointing out the historical context of the Gestapo's role in Nazi atrocities during the Holocaust. As I have written many times, not a fan of either the senile geriatric OR the Bad Orange Man.  Not tied to either. But in this election, it is the rare case that BOTH candidates have records to run on. Both have had a shot at the Presidency.

 

So I look at the Trump years- 2% inflation, two dollar gas, record low unemployment for minorities, steps towards peace in the Middle East, attempts to engage with North Korea, etc.  and from a pragmatic point of view, it ain't bad. Then compare the Biden years...not so good. It is also a position held by a majority of American voters.

If anything, in such an obviously barking society as we live in now, having two blatantly unsuitable candidates for "leader of the free world" is IMO eminently appropriate.

When kindy kids are apparently as intelligent as grown ups our "civilisation" can't be going to survive much longer, IMO.

I agree but it could be said that we get what we deserve, when America has been dumbed down for 20 years by reality TV, social media and podcasts, this is what we get. Two really terrible choice, and the inability or unwillingness for a serious and noble contenders to step up and try for the office. Those days are over. Only dregs from here on out.

It's amazing to me that some Americans would rely on certain things that the POTUS has no control over (e.g., economy, inflation, world events, etc.) and completely ignore the individual character of the candidates.  It seems the Republican party no longer cares about things like morality, honesty, integrity, law and order, family values, etc.  Why else would they support a corrupt lying conman with multiple indictments who would cheat on his wife after she's just given birth?  Isn't the President supposed to be the ultimate role model for our children?  We'll see in November I guess.

Not that I really GAF who becomes POTUS but I've seen this Trump comment cherry picked a few times.  I actually saw the interview when he said he would become a dictator ' for a day'. Followed by ' long enough to close the border and say drill, drill, drill'.  Each time it's just abbreviated to indicate he says he will become a dictator.

Are you sure you don't mean Biden?  If you can understand his rambling can you take it seriously?  He seems far more senile IMO. But no worries.  If he's re-elected it shouldn't be long before his VP has to take over and we'll have the pleasure of her cackling after every statement she makes.

As for being a divider and hater he just isn't in the league of of the Democrat administration and supporters.  They seem to be able to deny any wrong doing on their own behalf while constantly denigrating Trump and spewing hate and childish names.
