Pattaya-1-4-year-old-Estonian-boy-dies-in-tragic-car-accident-in-Pattaya-copy.jpg

In a chilling incident yesterday, a tragic accident in Sukhsiri Village, East Pattaya has claimed the life of an Estonian toddler. Little Filipp Naumov, no more than three years old, was fatally wounded when he encountered an unfortunate accident involving a vehicle while crossing the road. Despite emergency services' swift response to administer life-saving attempts, the child tragically succumbed to a severe head injury.

The vehicle, a white Toyota pickup truck, was driven by one Mrs Soracha, a 45-year-old resident of the village. Shaken but cooperative, she remained at the accident scene assisting the authorities in their preliminary investigation.

Eye-witnesses painted a harrowing picture of the incident. One of them, a 35-year-old motorcycle taxi rider named Sakchai Kaewkanjan, said that he had just dropped Naumov’s older brother at their house moments before the accident unfurled. As a young girl darted across the road, Filipp followed suit but unfortunately came into the path of Mrs Soracha's oncoming vehicle.

Mrs Soracha, recalling the traumatic episode, said she was leaving her house at the end of the village when the accident occurred. Thoroughly taken aback by the sudden appearance of the children on the road, she initially mistook the sickening impact for hitting an animal. Realising that it was, in fact, young Filipp, she instantly raised the alarm and called for help.

The distressing moment was caught on surveillance cameras and reportedly shows two children crossing the road, one of whom was able to make it safely across whilst young Filipp was tragically struck by the vehicle.

Deputy Chief Investigator Lieutenant Captain Siriyaporn Kongphetsak of the Nongprue Police Station is currently spearheading on-site investigations. Surveillance footage is under comprehensive examination to piece together the sequence of events and establish the exact circumstances that led to this devastating accident.

You just don't leave a 3 year old out in the road without supervision, especially not in the crazy Pattaya traffic.
Was the mother nearby ?  Was the 3 year old used to play outside alone or only with his siblings?

Maybe they are first time visitors who knows, a terrible lesson to pay for the family!

Was the drivers eyes perhaps distracted from the road at the time?

Sad accident.

The child wasn't playing in the road, the older child ran across the road (a small soi road). The small kid followed a couple a couple of seconds later. Was a car parked next to the kids house entrance, the driver had no chance to see, it showed you dash cam footage from the vehicle and cctv, driver going very slow.

This was Ch32 news yesterday morning.

What a traumatic incident to all involved.

Parents, siblings, eye witnesses, if any and for the driver.

RIP little one.

This type of news puts me off driving, every time!

So where's the video?

Maybe it's something that doesn't really need to be shared... unless you like seeing a young child killed?

Agree, I don't understand why anyone would put a confused emoji to your comment.

Some people here have never grown up, they think their stupid emoji's are funny.

I reckon it's the same people that always reply with hostility and nasty, hateful comments.

You can report to the mods and they will remove it.

I think every parent of a toddler understands how this can happen- bet we've all had 'nearlies' that left us shook up.  Understand your point, but maybe read the full details next time. It was a small sub soi and it really is down to a driver to go very slowly and be extra vigilant.
