Tommy has mentioned elsewhere that they are not affected as they have a commercial radio license.  This is targetting little non-profit broadcasters in villages and temples who are currently unlicensed.

Who really cares... Most of broadcasting will move to internet and people will just stream from there using their mobiles, and share to bluetooth speakers when needed to be heard more widely.

There are thousands of radio stations at sites with apps like TuneIn and many others. Like there is TV broadcasting on Youtube and many other streaming sites, which also have mobile apps.

 

With seemingly every villager having a smartphone even when they don't have electricity, and city folks already receiving ALL their media from mobiles, this scheme to make more money to NBTC might result in making them irrelevant.

Any random tikky-tok influencer with a mobile phone with data package is able to broadcast their essential podcast to the world.

yes, the first thing I thought of as well, easier to control digital.  Color me paranoid!
