Horrific Rape & Killing of 12-year-old Texas girl: Men Charged

Two men have been charged with the horrific murder of a 12-year-old Texas girl.  Jocelyn Nungaray's body was found floating in a creek near her Houston home on Monday. Johan Jose Rangel Martinez, 21, and Franklin Jose Pena Ramos, 26, have now been charged with capital murder following a manhunt for the suspects. 

 

 

Houston PD explained that the murder of anyone aged under 15 automatically results in a capital murder charge.  They previously suggested the youngster had also been raped and sent off a sexual assault kit to obtain further evidence. Officials are also working with Homeland Security Officials to see whether Martinez and Ramos are illegal immigrants.  The medical examiner confirmed that Jocelyn died by strangulation. 

 

 

Police issued images of two persons of interest seen with the pre teen hours before her death after she had snuck out of her home at around 10pm. Officers said the suspects, who lived in the same block as the girl, bumped into Jocelyn and walked with her to a convenience store. She called her 13-year-old boyfriend from the convenience store at around midnight that night.

 

 

He reported hearing her talking to two adults, Houston Mayor John Whitmire announced at a news conference Tuesday. Her grieving mother, Alexis Nungary, is now struggling to process what has happened. 'It's like it's not real,' she told Click2Houston.  She said she does not believe she knows the two men Jocelyn was seen with at the convenience store, whom the Houston Police Department have identified as 'persons of interest in the case.'

 

But Alexis says she suspects they either live in the apartment complex or may have walked to the store from a nearby state park. 'I want karma to hit them, I'm angry,' Alexis added. 'They took advantage of her. 'She's so young, she's 12. I want justice. I want whoever has seen them to please call police. They took my baby away.'

Martinez was arrested March 14 and Pena on March 28, both by U.S. Border Patrol near El Paso, Texas, about 670 miles (1078 kilometers) from Houston, the statement said. Both were then released with orders to appear in court at a later date.

It is cases like this that will cost Biden the election. Any parent of a young daughter will recoil at the thought of untold thousands of dirtbags like these guys just roaming around the country. This isn't the first case like this, and tragically it won't be the last. 

 

And it seems ridiculously easy to fix. Anyone caught crossing the border illegally is kept in detention until their claims can be heard. What is so hard about that?

That is and has been the immigration problem for quite some time.  Illegally enter the country.  Too many illegals so that it takes 5 or more years before their "asylum"  hearing in a court as there are way too few immigration judges/courts to hear all those pouring in.  Therefore the current policy for some time is to allow this illegals to roam around the country and do whatever they want apparently just like these

two.  Entered illegally, arrested and then let loose.  What do they do apparentl rape and kill a  12-year girl.  Too bad they can only be put to death once each!  My opinion and Biden and Co plus the US congress that can't get their act together to work out an immigration bill either should share in the blame for this crime as well as all the other crimes committed by the illegals!!

What was interesting this morning is that during my Bing search on the topic, most of the MSM either failed to mention they were illegals, or claimed that the authorities were still looking into their status, as if it was unknown.  I had to look quite a bit to find an MSM article to link, lest I be accused of linking right wing propaganda again.  Because the right wing sources had them as illegals very early in the news cycle.  Complete with dates they were caught and released.

 

I suspect a bunch of lefties that only read CNN and MSDNC still don't know.  And probably won't, until the anger dies down.  Doesn't help Joe.

Wrong. The laws used to be if they were caught. to process them and send them back. And they could not remain in the US until their applications were approved. Biden changed all that to a catch and release policy. Allowing them to remain in the US while their applications were processed. So these people who are caught and released. Have had no background checks done but still allowed to roam free in the US. It reminds me or many many years ago the Cuban and Haitian boat lifts. When thousands upon thousand boated their way into the US. When Castro emptied there prisons sending the prisoners with the boats also. n

I'm a lefty, a far-, far-left lefty. Here is what I read, starting on the left, in the article above...

According to the article above, these two men are only suspects in the murder. They are also only suspected of being illegal aliens. There is no mention of the victim's citizen or immigration status. It was mentioned she claims to have been raped before and was supposed to have gotten, used, and turned in a rape kit.

The bottom line here is if there is enough evidence, these two suspects should be tried for this suspected murder. However, the citizenship or immigration status of neither the suspects nor the victim should play any part in the trial.

As I said in my previous post, the citizenship/immigration status of the two suspects was not confirmed in the article above. Neither was the citizenship/immigration status of the victim. But the most important thing I stated was that neither of these should play any part in a trial, if there is enough evidence against the suspects to warrant one.

Yeah Trump changed it so that those caught were sent back to Mexico to await processing.  Biden opened it back up.

Even if criminals are a tiny percentage of illegals, that's still a huge number of new criminals, for which most communities are not prepared, nor properly budgeted.  That's why we have borders.  Or at least we did.

We have borders. We also have immigration laws and asylum and refugee status laws. If they aren't helping us deal with the current scope of events, then our Legislative Branch needs to change them. In an emergency, the Executive Branch can issue a short-term edict, but it must be followed by a change in the law.
