The MSM is melting down over Biden's excellent performance.

Let's Go Brandon!  (Let's go to the pasture and let a younger candidate take the nomination).

What say you Bidenites?  Do you really want to see your guy bumble along for another 4 years?

Ouch!

Now maybe Biden will do the DNC a favor and drop out.  After this disaster there is no way he'll be the DNC nominee after the convention.

Go Trump.

Why would you want Trump to be president? I'm asking this with an honest motive. I just can't understand why ANYONE would want to be associated with Trump in anything.

As for Trump, he was himself, brash, arrogant, lies left and right etc, but at no time did he look as if he was off in space somewhere else, he didn't look like he was going to fall over, he uttered understandable sentences, and he looked energetic, fired up and ready for business.

The crazy thing is, leading up to the debate, the left-wing MSM has being trying to sow seeds of Trump being incoherent in interviews, presumably as some sort of pre-emptive damage control.

I saw one comment somewhere that said something like "They both looked like confused old men", so it seems like the narrative might be pushed towards something like, "Oh yeah, they're both so old and unhinged", just to try to take the focus off of Biden's dementia.

It will be interesting to see how they try to spin this.

I'd like to see Buttigieg, but I think there are too many homophobes in the US to give him a real chance.

It's usually because they hate the same people as 45 hates - basically anyone NOT a white Christian nationalist.

I'm a far-left liberal, and I'm against 1, 2, 3, and 8.
I'm for 5, 6 (on high-income individuals), 7, and 9.
I don't know what 4 means.

45's lies were some of the best he's ever spewed. I REALLY loved that one "I did not have sex with a porn star."

What about 46's?  "What laptop?"  "I was calling my son up for a chat, it just happened to be in the middle of a board meeting."  "I'm as sharp as a tack and no foolin'."

Norway has a long, vulnerable and difficult to defend border with Russia. Putin's aggressive expansionism will be a very real concern. The main pillar of their defence is the NATO alliance, an alliance which Trump has made it clear he intends to dismantle, or at least hamstring.

So Trump and his campaign matters to a Norwegian, as it does to most Europeans. The probable rapid descent of the USA into an autocratic isolationist state which cannot be relied upon as an ally will mean a lot of things will have to be rethought. That is why this campaign matters to many countries and people outside the USA.

Now Americans may (will) argue that their European allies have accepted the American defence umbrella, a defensive umbrella which has, for the last 75 years underpinned defence of Europe. But remember, Europe has played a part by contributing, troops, blood and treasure, and (at times) costly political support to American foreign policy throughout that period. Trump will radically change that American foreign policy, Americas allies will have to reposition themselves, and may themselves have to move away from America, because they simply do not know what it (America)will do.

If you lose your European allies, how, who, is going to fuel, victual, repair and base your vast air and naval forces?

Just to contribute to your post to prove your points.

American Forces Enter the North With Free Access to 36 Military Bases

Commentary: American forces are entering the High North at a nearly explosive pace. On Monday, Finland is following Norway and Sweden in opening up their military bases to the US.

As the only original NATO country in the North, Norway had already negotiated a so-called additional agreement on defense cooperation between the US and Norway in 2022. A large majority in the Norwegian parliament later adopted the agreement. The agreement gives the US the right to unimpeded access to four military bases on Norwegian soil. Two of which, Ramsund and Evenes, are in the North.

The agreement also includes American police authority on Norwegian soil and American weapons depots to which Norway will not have access.
