She was only a puppet.... doing as she was told.

Obviously yes, she was not a mastermind.

It's about time. The family have been treated unjustly and even hounded out of their own country just to serve other peoples crooked, political ambitions - and look how that turned out.  Irrespec

Very very few people want him, and very very few people seem to like him anymore. After selling out to the army recently in order to gain power and return to Thailand, that was kind of the last straw. Even my friends in Issan are saying that he's a nobody now. He has brought on his own irrelevancy. See ya!

let's trust this holds true.

it is nice for the rich elite to be able to stay FOR YEARS on end

do they not have to prove this or that or appropriate visa ?

or is she asylums' seeker status in a free council house ?

Irrespective of where your allegiances lie......Thailands economy was never better than when KT was in charge and having this family back benefits not just the people of Thailand but the Expat community too.

That's not really a reasonable analogy, after coming out of the .com bust the economy was booming for quite a few years, till 2007-2008. Worldwide.

Having said that the army are the last people in the world that should be running an economy, Prayuth absolutely decimated the economy with 9 years of his toxic rule, and apparently those fools still have quite a bit of influence in this current proxy administration.

The biggest crooks are those in the military, who through their illegal military coups have stolen the entire country, not just once, but many times, and none have ever been punished.

Yingluck told her supporters in a video call that she hopes to celebrate her next birthday in Thailand.

Again, again, again hopes to come home.

Why doesn't she just take the next flight to Thailand. She doesn't need a visa. She doesn't even need a home or hotel.

The only reason that she doesn't return is because she thinks she is above the law, and she should not be punished for a crimes.

Come on, don't talk so much, come back and accept the consequences of your actions.

Yingluck Shinawatra, Thailand's first female prime minister, has recently signalled her potential return to the country after spending years in self-imposed exile. Celebrating her 57th birthday in London, Yingluck told her supporters in a video call that she hopes to celebrate her next birthday in Thailand.

Yingluck’s possible return gains credence following a slew of favourable court rulings over the last six months. Her niece, Paetongtarn Shinawatra, leader of the ruling Pheu Thai Party, further fanned the speculation by expressing her wish for Yingluck’s return through a heartfelt social media post.

Thaksin Shinawatra, Yingluck’s brother and former Thai prime minister, returned to the country in August after 15 years overseas following a royal pardon reducing his prison sentence. This move has raised hopes for Yingluck's return, especially given the easing of her legal troubles.

Yingluck was convicted in absentia in 2017 for negligence related to a rice-pledging scheme, leading to a five-year prison term. Recent legal verdicts, however, have been in her favour.

In December, the Supreme Court acquitted her of malfeasance in a 2011 administrative transfer. Additionally, in March, she was cleared of misconduct and price collusion charges linked to infrastructure development projects.

The Attorney-General’s Office and the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) opted not to appeal these verdicts, closing critical legal hurdles and making Yingluck's return more plausible.

Thaksin has suggested that Yingluck’s case is simpler compared to his own, with fewer legal entanglements. Legal experts and political observers indicate that a return similar to Thaksin's is feasible, involving adjustments to current regulations to facilitate her reintegration without imprisonment.

Though some complaints against Yingluck remain under the NACC’s review, there is no immediate indication these cases will move forward. This opens the path for a potential return, eagerly awaited by her supporters and family.

The fifteen member Afghan refugee family waiting to move into her central London Georgian home will certainly be rooting for her return.......😋

Two fugitives back off the run, and soon to be wielding power view kickbacks. Youve got to applaud them, or as many have done, get on their payroll.

I do. I remember it well.

You are writing garbage.

I also remember it well. Mr T and Yingluk democratically elected with landslide majorities.

I also remember well the illegal coups and the armed yellow shirt thugs closing down the Kingdom. Still it's good to see Yingluk cleared of so many trumped up charges.

This was also Thaksin's mentality. If you are elected with a sizeable majority and you are free  to commit any crime you like.  The land case was clear cut corruption. The Exim Bank case was clear corruption.  The rice pledging scam was clear cut corruption.  Thaksin always dismissed his criminal cases as political but never refuted the details of them.  In the case of his son's money laundry case, they always argued that there were another 100 or so people who received the money stolen from Krung Thai Bank in addition to him who were not charged.  That was true and they should have been charged but it didn't make the son any less guilty.

But anyway the US Supreme Court seems to agree that presidents can commit any crime they like too.

Just like her criminal brother did, came back and faced the consequences - and nearly died as a result of it, luckily he was resurrected from his death bed to live on.

luckily?

What is she worried about her skumbag brother has been back and did his 3 minutes in prison now heading to run the country again, so is she worried they don't have enough red carpet for her to walk down when she arrives

You are mentally ill.

hey Yingluck, if things don't work out come to the US, we need a presidential candidate who can actually do the job.

So that's your response to someone whose views are not the same as yours? You're right and everyone else is wrong or mentally ill? What does that say about you? You clearly overestimate your importance in the scheme of things.
