Police from Phaya Thai Station received a report of smoke emanating from a building at Phumirajnakarin Kidney Institute Hospital. Upon arrival, officers and rescue volunteers found the incident occurred in an 8-story building with smoke originating from the 6th floor.

Due to some smoke logging, the hospital authorities and emergency responders successfully evacuated 19 patients:

  - 11 patients from the 5th floor
  - 8 patients from the 6th floor

All patients were moved to safe areas within the hospital.

Preliminary investigation revealed an electrical short circuit in the air conditioning unit located under the ceiling of the 6th floor, with a short circuit in the fan coil motor of the air conditioning system. The situation was resolved by cutting off the power supply to the affected area.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation to ensure the safety and well-being of all patients and staff at the hospital.
