Geez, I'm not that old.

My mother lived 5 years longer than my age now, and she was a stone alky & chain smoker.   I never smoked cigs, and rarely drink alcohol, the past 10 ish years.    Already passed my father age, by a few months, and he had the same lifestyle as mom.

Might have another 10 years in my, as my one brother is 7 yrs older and still going strong.  My cousin, mother's side, is 15 yrs older than me.

Got a lot more Soc Sec to collect, and continue to be a blight on US economy.  Though if the didn't steal those funds, it would be self generating & flush.

Love how people comment and members they know nothing about :coffee1:

He is better than a progressive minded judge.

So what in your opinion is a progressive minded judge. I hate to think.

But how could any judge be better than the very very corrupt Clarence Thomas?

A progressive Supreme Court Justice is one that is concerned more about the "greater good" than they are the text of the Constitution, which results in them effectively legislating from the bench.

I believe Kamala Harris can win only if Mark Kelly is the VP Nominee.  People like myself, veteran and retired police officers, admire people like Kelly. We are not "mage-facists' and do not own red hats unless it is for USC Football.

1. Retired Navy Pilot

2. Former NASA Astrounaut

3. Son of Police Officers(this is a big one for me).

4. Life of service and sacrifice. Navy Pilots spend months at sea during a career.  Kelly has served on multiple Space Shuttle mission. His life is the epitome of service and sacrifice. He seems to be humble person.

5. Elected to the Senate as a political newbie in 2020.

6. His position on gun control has been shaped by the attack on his wife, Gabrielle Giffords, who almost died. This is understandable even if one disagrees with him on this issue.  I have never owned an AR-15 or any other long rifle and have never been member of the NRA.  To me the NRA seems to be run by a bunch of con men who constantly solicit donation in "order to protect our 2nd Ammendment Rights" Whateve that means. I have owned firearms for over 35 years and sold my collection when I came to Thailand full time. The firearms I have owned were pistols even though I have lot of professional experience with the AR-15.  But I have never had a need to own an AR-15.

I know a lot of people who think like I do.  Many voted for Trump in 2016 because they would not vote for Hilary Clinton. In essence he got a lot of anit-Hilary votes.  Kelly is a much better VP or even presidential cndidate then JD Vance could ever be.  In a potential Harris-Kelly adminstration I would be reassured to know at least one adult was in the White House. I have known about Kamala Harris since she was the District Attorny in San Francisco.  I could have never imagined she would be this close to becoming POTUS.  America is still the land of opportunity for all. The only way I would vote for Harris is if Mark Kelly was the VP nominee.  Let's see what she does in the coming weeks.

Of course. People that make stuff up or that just regurgitate what someone else made up always say stuff like that, particularly the ones that hate to think for themselves and depend on others to do their thinking for them.

You hate him because he is a strong, intelligent black man that is not on the left.

How low can the Republicans go.........

Far-right blogger Matt Walsh and former Fox host Megyn Kelly suggested Harris slept her way to the top. Conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer went further, alleging that the veep was “once an escort” who started out by “giving blow jobs to successful, rich, Black men”. The founder of Pastors for Trump tweeted: “Both Joe + the Ho gotta go!”

While allegedly copulating with all comers, Harris is slammed for failing in her womanly duty to reproduce. In a video that recently turned up, Vance, the father of three, told Tucker Carlson in 2021 that the US was being run by “childless cat ladies” – Harris among them – who don’t “have a direct stake” in the country’s future. Will Chamberlain, a lawyer who worked on Florida governor Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign, proclaimed that “people without kids … are highly susceptible to corruption and perversion. They have no care for the future and live in the present.”

Being a step-parent – as Harris is to her husband’s biological children – doesn’t count, Chamberlain added. This criticism has never been leveled against the childless George Washington – although, to be fair, he was the Father of Our Country.

And if misogyny and racism are not sufficient, the right keeps searching for plain weirdness to use against the Democratic candidate. All they’ve come up with, though, is one of her more charming characteristics, her laugh, from which Trump derives his lamest-yet political nickname: “Laughing Kamala”.

Clearly not as low as the left.

The last sentence is an assumption, you might just hate him because he is an originalist, and you want left-wing activists on the bench. I don't know why you hate him, why not tell me?

But the first paragraph is true. I've been round and round enough to know you are not going to support your claim with facts, you'll either run away, or post a link to some biased opinion piece.

What corruption?

There have been numerous allegations of corruption against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. Over the years, several reports have revealed that he accepted significant gifts and financial benefits from wealthy benefactors, raising questions about his impartiality and adherence to judicial ethics.

One prominent figure in these allegations is billionaire Harlan Crow, who provided Thomas with lavish vacations, real estate transactions, and even covered the tuition for Thomas’s grandnephew, whom Thomas was raising  . Additionally, Thomas has been criticized for failing to disclose many of these gifts, which include private jet flights, yacht trips, and stays at luxurious resorts .

Critics argue that these financial relationships compromise Thomas’s independence as a Supreme Court justice, as they create a perception that his decisions could be influenced by his wealthy benefactors . Calls for his resignation and demands for stricter ethics rules for the Supreme Court have intensified in light of these revelations.

For more detailed information, you can refer to reports by ProPublica, Above the Law, and the Alliance for Justice.

Wow, you can cut and paste, and without credit, I'm impressed!

But yeah, I know about all the allegations from the left, so? Your "source" seems to be an organizarion dedicated to ruining a great American's life.

He has a rich friend. No one seems to mind when the others get gifts, only when it is strong, intelligent black man with a white wife that does not vote the way they like do the knives come out.

Which of his rulings can be shown to have benefited Harlan Crow directly?

I don't know how may people here on this thread are living in the States. I live in Florida. I can tell you, food prices are at all time highs. For example a little Walmart pie that sold for .49 cents for years is now .89. That is 45% and it's just one example.

Crime and drugs are rampant, even here in FL where you actually go to jail and do time if you get caught. The job market is not great. I'm lucky to be an IT person but lower jobs are becoming more and more rare and pay less and less. It's not hard to guess why.

A few last minute changes (like forcing out the incumbent against the wishes of the voters!) will not fix anything.

At the end of the day, the program is, give tax money from people who have it to people who don't and take a huge slice for Govt graft, theft and incompetence. Giving money to people who did not earn it will not increase anyone's standard of living. It just makes them lazier and the givers more divisive.  It really is that simple. All the other issues are decoys. I've been around the world many times and it has shown me that if you can't make money here, there is no where you will be successful.

"Biden Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was ripped by conservatives on social media Friday after he mocked former President Trump for showing "weakness" by not agreeing to debate VP Harris in September.

"Has a presidential nominee ever agreed to a debate, then pulled out? Remarkable show of weakness here," Buttigieg posted on X before being mocked by conservatives who argued that former President Trump had an agreement with Biden, who dropped out of the race and effectively pulled out of the scheduled debate.

"Yes. Biden. Literally this past weekend," CNN’s Scott Jennings posted on X.

"Joe Biden agreed to 2 debates, then pulled out of his entire campaign after the first one," pollster Frank Luntz posted on X."

"I would be willing to do more than one debate, actually," Trump said. Minutes later, Trump noted, "I haven’t agreed to anything. I agreed to a debate with Joe Biden."

The Trump campaign said Thursday he will not participate in a debate until Democrats finalize their nominee because it "would be inappropriate to schedule things with Harris because Democrats very well could still change their minds."

So Trump is a fascist now? He's certainly egocentric and full of hypobole, but I don't think he fits the normal definition of fascist.
