Two Enfield 500cc Bullets and a Honda CRF300L heading to North Thailand.

Day 1. Pattaya to Korat, Vespa mike on his Enfield Bullet, Ray on his CRF and I was on my Enfield too.

Ray and I met up in Pattaya and rode towards Bang Saray to meet with Mike. Unfortunately Mike had been tied up, literally by a stray lady and was late. I promised not tell anyone though.

From there we headed through the countryside past Bomb Mountain and north through some great countryside with many stops to photograph Mike attempting roadside repairs from unfinished custom work that had been done on the bike. Eventually all was sorted with zip ties and some welding.

Mike was quiet happy I photographed some of this!

A 395km ride, we have a similar distance planned for tomorrow.

Day 7. Mae Sariang-Salawin River Viewpoint ride.

After yesterdays long day Ray and I had an easy day today to the Salawin River at Mae Sam Laep, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/6v6H7sFg9Sk1tqWr5

Ray went exploring north alongside the river up to the bamboo bridge river crossing, a ride I was not going to try on my Enfield.

Riding back we got a bit and decided to cancel further exploring.

A good morning exploring.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/1m2Bg36YNxeftp2S6

Before finding our hotel we rode up to Wat Pra That Doi Kongmu, here.

Todays ride was 232km through the mountains with one stop at Doi Kiew Lom Viewpoint, here.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/xdT7bhaf5xMySUEC9

But most of the views were hidden by clouds.

We bypassed Pai and got caught in the rain as we arrived in Chiang Mai.

Day 12. Chiang Mai to Kanchanaburi

After arriving at Chiang Mai a few days ago I hurt my ankle and decided to relax it a while. Due to all day rain on the Wednesday it was a good decision!

Yesterday I rode nonstop for 9 1/2 hours to Kanchanaburi, 677km with no rain at all.

Those Bullet 500 look gorgeous, especially the chrome models. I’ve heard stories of engine vibes being an issue though, how is it for you. Shame RE stopped producing them, I have a RE 650 GT and a bullet would be a nice stable mate.

Nice ride down.

I imagine more comfy on the RE vs CT125.?

You ditched the other guys

and are heading back to P town.?

Today I rode a loop following rivers and irrigation channels and visited a decrepit bridge I have been to before. A nice and easy 117 km ride.
