Actually, it's not easy to find precise and recent information about the U.S.. In particular about IP rights. It seems Apple pays taxes on revenues in the U.S for sales in the U.S. However, it"s not clear about property rights.
it's more precise about the EU because of recent investigations and decisions
Oh so:
1) imagining you can rename a major geographical feature on a whim,
2) expecting to be able to buy a sovereign country,
3) thinking you are able to make another country (Canada) the 51st State of the USA,
4) appointing a pisshead to run your armed forces 'cos you watched him on the telly.
They're not indicators of dementia?
