Yesterday, police in Pattaya arrested a South Korean man named Kim Jinjong. He was detained for illegally entering Thailand and for drug smuggling as well.

On August 14, Pattaya Tourist Police received a tip-off about a South Korean man entering Thailand. This man, identified as Kim Jinjong, had travelled from a nearby country. Further investigations revealed that Jinjong was residing in a village in Pattaya's Bang Lamung district.

Upon raiding his house, the tourist police found Jinjong inside. He admitted to entering Thailand unlawfully through a forest in the Isaan region's Sa Kaeo province.

A search of the house resulted in the discovery of various illegal drugs. These included 1.5 grams of crystal meth, 0.4 grams of ecstasy, and some drug-related equipment. Jinjong took the officers to his condo in Pattaya, but no illegal items were found there.

According to the police report, in 2015, Jinjong overstayed his visa by about five years, or 1,864 days, which placed him on a blacklist and barred him from re-entering Thailand till December 27, 2029. Jinjong violated this ban.

He will be prosecuted for two main legal offenses. As per Section 81 of the Immigration Act, he lived in Thailand after his visa expired. Consequently, he will be extradited to South Korea to face additional charges for money laundering.

As per Section 145 of the Narcotics Control Act, he possessed a Category 1 drug. This offence could result in a sentence between two to 20 years in prison and a fine ranging from 200,000 to 2 million baht.

I mentioned before, South Korean men are becoming the leading menace in Thailand as of late.

-He admitted to entering Thailand unlawfully

-A search of the house resulted in the discovery of various illegal drugs. These included 1.5 grams of crystal meth, 0.4 grams of ecstasy, and some drug-related equipment

-According to the police report, in 2015, Jinjong overstayed his visa by about five years, or 1,864 days

Talk about bigging up a story .

The main story photo compared to the actual details is as close as earth and the moon 😄

After a tip-off...

The only way the local police solve anything; it's certainly not through police work because they don't do any.
