Upon arrival, they discovered a naked man in the forest next to the road. He was clinging desperately to the head of a female brown cow, visibly battered and bruised from the encounter.

 

Rescue workers attempted to intervene, but the agitated cow was relentless. Efforts to restrain it failed, prompting the team to seek out the cow's owner. With the owner's intervention, the cow was finally calmed, and the man was extricated from the dangerous situation. He was transported to Ban Na Derm Hospital for medical evaluation. However, he astoundingly refused treatment and left the hospital immediately to return home.

Earlier in the day, the man was seen riding a motorcycle, which he parked under the bridge near the intersection of Route 44 due to a flat tire. Naked foreign man gored by cow after alleged sexual abuse

A foreign man refused medical treatment after being gored by a cow in the southern province of Surat Thani. Rescuers suspected that the foreigner attempted to sexually abuse the animal.

 

Officers from Ban Naderm Police Station and the Ban Naderm Rescue Foundation were called to a roadside forest along Highway 44 (Surat Thani-Krabi Road) to assist the foreign man, who had been attacked by a brown cow owned by a resident.

Matichon reported that the cow, which was tied to a wooden pole, repeatedly gored the 35 year old foreign man, who was naked at the time. The foreigner attempted to fend off the cow by holding onto its horns but was unsuccessful.

 

The cow eventually flung him aside and was about to charge again when rescuers managed to drag the foreign man away just in time. The cow’s owner was called to the scene to calm the animal down.

Police reported that, despite the cow’s attack, the foreign man did not sustain any visible wounds or bruises, but he was unable to communicate with the officers. The foreigner reportedly became agitated, so he was taken to Ban Naderm Hospital for further evaluation.

Channel 3 reported that the foreigner refused a medical examination and treatment, leaving the hospital immediately. Officers did not have the opportunity to question him or conduct a drug test.

 

A witness told the media that the foreign man had stopped at the scene because his motorcycle’s tyre was punctured. He then disappeared into the roadside forest, where locals later found him naked and being attacked by the cow.

 

The rescue team speculated that the foreign man might have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs and may have attempted to have sex with the animal before the attack occurred.

 

In a related incident in April, a foreign man was condemned by Thai netizens after bathing in a small pool in front of a shrine in Bangkok and later defecating in the pool.

 

In the same month, another foreigner, a British man, faced criticism for walking naked along Ao Nang Beach in the southern province of Krabi. The Englishman later apologised to the locals, explaining that his actions were driven by alcohol.

They don't mention whether there was a calf in the vicinity. Cows (and buffalo) will move to defend their young if they feel that they're being threatened. I encounter both a lot on my walks and I always give then a wide if there are young ones around.
