Popular Post webfact Posted August 16, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 16, 2024 Two Thai men physically assaulted a Kuwaiti man near Soi Bangla in the Patong neighbourhood of Phuket after the foreigner allegedly insulted Thai people. Officers from Patong Police Station were alerted to the gang attack on the tourist at about 7.20am on Tuesday, August 13, and rushed to the scene, a road near Soi Bangla in the Kathu district of Phuket. Officers found the injured foreigner, later identified as 32 year old Naeaaf Al Otajbi, at the scene. Police called rescuers from the Kusol Dham Foundation to transfer Otajbi to a hospital. Otajbi reportedly returned home immediately after receiving treatment. He told police that he needed to rest and would take legal action against the attackers later. Following brief questioning at the hospital, Otajbi said he was on his way to his accommodation when the attackers approached and assaulted him. Police reviewed security camera footage from the scene and found two attackers, one of whom was a motorcycle taxi rider, attacking the Kuwaiti man until he collapsed on the road and lost consciousness. The attackers then left the scene separately. Channel 8 reported that the Kuwaiti man had not filed a complaint with the police since the incident, but officers managed to arrest the two attackers featured in the video yesterday, August 15. The two Thai attackers claimed that Otajbi could speak Thai but not fluent. They alleged that Otajbi insulted Thai people loudly while intoxicated. The attackers stated they could not bear the insult and launched the attack on the foreigner. However, the police are unable to legally punish the attackers because legal proceedings require a complaint from the Kuwaiti victim. Police would file charges against the attackers once the foreign victim comes forward. In a similar incident, a group of Thai transwomen gang attacked a foreign man in Soi Bangla in May, claiming that the foreigner had slapped one of them without reason. One transwoman claimed that the foreigner previously rode a motorcycle around the area, randomly kicking and annoying people. Another related incident occurred in Phuket in March when two Thai transwomen physically assaulted two foreign men in the Patong area. It is suspected that they argued over the price of sex services before the altercation took place. by Petch Petpailin Photo via Khao Phuket Source: The Thaiger 2024-08-16 - Cigna offers a variety of health insurance plans designed to meet the minimum requirement for medical treatment coverage, with benefits reaching up to THB 3 million. Popular Post Photoguy21 Posted August 16, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 16, 2024 The Kuwaitis are well known for their arrogance. Such actions dont surprise me as they feel they are above everyone else. There are some decent ones of course but the majority have the attitude. 1 3 1 2

Popular Post thesetat2013 Posted August 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 17, 2024 The Kuwaiti man really needs to file that police report. So these thugs do not do this again to someone else over a simple word exchange. I understand Kuwaitis arrogance. But it does not dismiss the fact they beat him unconscious. Violence this way should never be permitted especially when the Thai men started it. I realize drunk and obnoxious behavior could set someone off but to continue beating someone until they pass out is serious. They need to change the laws so people like this can be. prosecuted without the injured party filing a complaint. 1 2 2
sikishrory Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Who knows. "Insulted" can mean saying "I don't want a f'ing taxi" or saying no with the wrong tone after being asked for the 321st time that day. I treat these people like glass and don't see / respond to them at all. For the most part it works but sometimes you get an angry one that apparently requires a response. Or maybe the guy was just an a'hole. Question Do grab and bolt operate in patong? I never go there but recently heard some vlogger say you can't get grab and bolt in Phuket, yet they are everywhere. His vlog was in Patong which makes me wonder if that is a no go zone for these services? 1

Will B Good Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Some sympathy for the Thai guys.....it must be incredibly frustrating at times, being exposed to morons like this day in day out...........but you have to be smarter if you intend to rough them up. 1

tomacht8 Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 ....Otajbi insulted Thai people loudly while intoxicated. Kuwaitis cannot handle alcohol. At home they are forced to live abstinently and in Thailand they get completely drunk without a limit, with the result that they then behave like the last a..holes. I personally experienced on Emirates flights that the drunk Kuwaitis became real safety risks on the plane.

rumeaug Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Kuwaiti might have behaved like an A**H***, but it's just words, and responding by eventually inflicting some serious brain damage, trauma, coma, you name it...is out of proportion. Plus, for many of those Thai dudes, anything is a good excuse to act like an animal and beat the lights out of someone, in a cowardly way most of the times (2 or 3 or 4 or more against 1). Pathetic. 1 1
